So I decided to try out El pollo Lucas ! I chose the 1/4 CHX 🐔 is $6 (1/2 is $11.50, Whole is $21.50) all plates comes with corn / flour tortillas- not home made buuuut but still amazing! The toppings are cabbage, sliced onion, and a lime Kicker with green salsa or 🔥 red salsa ! Omg the green salsa is bomb! Apparently I am way too sheltered and pasty to handle The fire 🔥 red salsa! Although it was delicious, I only got like two bites before I ran for my drink to cool off! Soon 🔥 red salsa - soon I will conquer you!
The CHX 🐓 - crispy yet juicy! I found my self building my tacos and trying not to eat all the crispy skin while pulling out the soft white and dark meat ! You have to choose between flavor now in that crispy deliscious bite of skin now or put that seasoned to perfection piece later inside your taco ! Heaven in a smell and blessings in a taste ! I resolved to pull what I could off the bone and then while The tacos rested in my belly , I picked at the bones gobbling up every last morsel of goodness!
The small beans 🫘 were $3/large is $6 -home made fresh , saw them topping off the containers as I was waiting! It’s got Flavor and the good consistency refried beans should have ! I pored it over everything! Definitely worth getting!
The small Mac salad was $3/large is $6- home made fresh daily - tbh not the best kinda bland but I also heard that’s what it’s supposed to be like ! I would try it for your self definetly ! I am A fan of Hawain style Mac salad which is more dressing than noodle so take from that what you will!
The small rice 🍚 was $3/ large is $6-perfect and I am picky about rice ! Freaking perfect !🤩 whatever old lady is making this food she deserves her own crown! Cause fluffy and soft but firm! Is an accomplishment few can claim! Seasoned well and flavor full yet restrained enough not to over whelm your pallet! I am definetly On my way back for more not that I could actually eat any more! I got allot for my moneydollars! I got a medium fountain drink $2.50/large is $3.50 They had a variety of bottled soda and canned and Powerade for you construction dudes! I like refills which were free..Bonus -but that bottled orange soda was calling to me ! Gotta smash pollo with orange soda yall! Total was 18.75. Worth every cent y’all !! I finished what I could and took it home which resulted in 2 more meals! Over all Food is Good I give is two thumbs up and a happy face...

I have been here around 8 times since they opened and each and every single time I am more and more impressed with the kindness, love, care, deliciousness all around from the owners and their son to the amazing pollo!!!!!
20/10 stars if I could
The mistreatment they received today over a bitter and ridiculous child like customer was beyond uncalled for!!!

Read moreNow that the "new restaurant rush" has died down, we thought to try this place. The inside was nice, staff was friendly, and service was quick. The overhead menu has fries, but they don't serve fries. 🤔 We ordered a whole chicken and large orders of all available sides. The chicken and tortillas were crazy hot, but the sides were lukewarm at best. The chicken had good flavor, the beans and rice were fine, but the macaroni salad had zero seasoning, which was odd. When you put everything in a tortilla, it was pretty dang good! Well, we didn't put the mac in the tortilla. That would be weird. $40 for our family of 4 was better than any fast food in town and we even had leftovers. This place will make a good option for when we just don't want to cook. We...
