4 months ago, I fell in the entry way of Riverdale DQ. I was celebrating my granddaughter's birthday with an evening out with her. My foot caught on the rug. A young manager finally came to help me after their staff was yelling "someone fell". I could not get up, due to knee replacements in both knees. I hit my head, my shoulder, my hip on my left side and my foot and ankle were injured on the right side. I had the manager get me a chair so I could pull myself up. HE SHOULD HAVE CALLED 911. I won't go into all the absurd details and all the ignorant things the manager said. I had him get me a chair to pull myself up, while he chanted, "Go, mama, go." I'm 72 and didn't appreciate him yelling that. I was seen at Urgent Care the next day, pulled muscles all over my body, most likely had a concussion, BROKE MY FOOT, sprained my ankle. I wore a tall boot to my knee. A week later, I was seen by my ortho Dr. He verified the broken foot and sprained ankle. I called DQ incessantly for days. I was hung up on, put the phone on the counter so I could hear all their business transactions several times, the manager did not call me back and THE OWNER HAS NOT ONCE IN 4 MONTHS TIME REACHED OUT TO ME. I called International DQ and there was little they could do because each DQ is privately owned. They did apologize to me for the inappropriate behavior and rudeness. They said they would reach out to him. I went in to the Riverdale DQ and spoke with the manager since he would not return my calls. I asked why he did not call 911. He said "HE ASSESSED THE SITUATION AND I DIDN'T NEED 911. I SHOULD HAVE CALLED 911 IF I FELT I NEEDED IT." I was so angry at that reply. I asked him if he was a Dr. to assess me. He was full of lies, probably to keep his job. In my defense, I hit my head, I was in terrible pain and I was very worried about my granddaughter who was ready to cry. I see my ortho Dr. regularly. My foot is not healing. In 2 weeks, I which makes it 18 weeks since the fall, I go back to my Dr. He did tell me I may need surgery and we will discuss it at that appointment. STILL NO CONTACT FROM THE OWNER OF THE RIVERDALE DQ. I will never set foot in the Riverdale DQ again. Any establishment that is owned by someone so inconsiderate, ignorant, and not caring about about their customers, should not be frequented. He will not see a penny of my money ever. There is so much more to this story. PLEASE BOYCOTT THE RIVERDALE DQ UNTIL THE OWNER CAN APPRECIATE...
Read moreWe ordered four blizzards through the mobile app and it charged our card. I went to the store to pick up the order and they said they couldn't locate it. I waited in the store for approximately 35 minutes with occasional back and forth with the manager who was unable to find the order and no progress was made in me receiving my blizzards. I had the receipt from the mobile app in hand and showed that to him multiple times. I asked if he could look up the order by the order number on the receipt and he said he couldn't find it. After the 35 minutes or so he said he called his manager and informed me that unless I could produce the bank statement showing the charge, he's not able to serve me. At that point it was super frustrating and I just said I can't believe this is happening and left. Then I realized I had my bank account on my phone so I pulled that up and sure enough it was listing as a pending charge and the amount matched the receipt that I had received electronically through the app. I came back to the store, presented both of those items and they still refused service. Basically I left DQ having paid for four blizzards without getting four blizzards and wasted about an hour in the process and they couldn't figure out that they should do the right thing and just make the blizzards. All that trouble for $15 worth of blizzards that I paid for it but they...
Read moreViolently ill from food poisoning. Every day I have the same 2 protein shakes for breakfast and lunch, and last night for dinner I had a burger and onion rings from this location. I’m home sick today with classic food poisoning symptoms — in my job I’m trained to recognize those. It’s the only food I ate besides my every-day breakfast & lunch. I wanted to call to let staff here know about it but she was dismissive and basically just said “okay. No one else had those symptoms.” As a manager in food service myself, I’d said “maybe talk with last night’s staff about cooking food long enough?” to which she was dismissive again. I’m not confident in the food safety at this location. Tasted good and I ate all of it but Oo it was a mistake. It’s a shame because I work less than 5 mins away but I won’t be back. I’m bummed I spent the $13, threw it all up & missed a day of work. (Also the more I’m looking at reviews, it seems the owner posts the same “I’m sorry I hope you give us a chance” message on multiple negative reviews, so I’m definitely not feeling confident that positive changes are being made when issues arise, such as money back or communication with the team about the problems. Edit: I also saw multiple reviews, not just 1, about employees & managers not wearing gloves, so maybe cross contamination was the problem that made me sick rather than the...
