Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Coon Rapids

It's an odd experience to come into a place that kinda feels like if Hardee's and Culver's had a baby as far as decor goes.

The staff when I was there were friendly as hell which was awkward but nice to see for a change. I feel like they talked up their food a bit much but maybe they are just prideful of it.

I got a spicy chicken sandwich which was cooked perfectly for how chicken should be cooked. The spice was a little bit of a letdown but it wasn't bad. I got bacon on it as well to see how they handle more complicated orders (As well as no tomatoes) and they got it right.

The waffle fries were a little frumpy but tasted like real potatoes and where addicting even though I would have liked to see them a little more crispy/done.

Their sauce is kinda blah and just tastes like honey mustard. Not my kinda thing but you don't need it. Though I would love to see a sauce like raising cane's sauce, though I am sure there are people here that would disagree and like Chick-fil-A's sauce better (even if it isn't made fresh or taste that good to me).

Bottom line, the food tasted fresh save for the waffle fries, though there were still good. The staff was eerily helpful and friendly. And the menu was simplistic but that's just less for them to mess up.

Should you try it? This was my first time here and was positive. The food is better than other standard fare save for some options from Wendy's or raising cane's. But over all opinion was not bad.

Would I go back again? I'm in no rush to as there are better options out there but the prices were quite fair I feel and I don't think I would be hesitant if someone suggested it for lunch one day once in a while.

Final thoughts. It's not bad food. It's not the best but it's better than the middle of ground if not for a little feeling of desperation this place gives me, like being too nice. But all that said, give it a shot, make your own opinion on it and enjoy a better than average...

This is the 2nd time they’ve screwed up my order. With the same exact sandwich. The honey pimento chicken. In both instances I asked for and of course got charged for extra pimento cheese and honey. Because depending on who makes it they usually only put the tiniest bit that I can barely see lol. They first screwed up my sandwich about month ago. The problem was they didn’t add any pimento cheese or honey at all when I asked for extra! Make it make sense… and then tonight, 10/02/24 at 8pm they literally drowned my sandwich in pimento cheese and honey to the point that it was disgusting and disrespectful. The cardboard container that they use to place the sandwiches in was completely soaked, soggy and falling apart by the time I got home. Pimento cheese was filled to the brim and spilled out the sides. And to top things off they used a grilled chicken breast instead of the original breaded chicken that comes with the sandwich!!! I spent $35 in total there and I am extremely disappointed in their attention to detail. They are so focused on appearing to be nice and friendly that they are not paying attention to what they’re doing. This Chick fi A is the worst one in the Twin Cities. Do not go here unless you want your order to be the exact opposite of what you asked for. It’s laughable at this point.
