Went to this Olive Garden for the very first time today and it was hilariously bizarre. It was so bizarre that the whole dinner conversation I had with my husband was about how incredibly bizarre the service was.
When we were seated, as normal, we were asked what drinks we'd like. We asked for water. 10 mins later, he came and took our order and asked what we wanted to drink again, no water still. We ordered a chicken Alfredo, spinach artichoke dip, soup and salad. Another 10 mins passed by, he came back with our appetizer. Not sure if he was in a rush or something, he slid the plate on our table, so fast that he the food on the plate fell on the table. We were talking about 4-5 good size bread chips. He saw but just walked away without saying anything. We picked up our chips and put them back felt funny about it. My husband and I laughed it off. A while later, we got our water. About 10 mins later or so, another waitress brought out our dish. It wasn't our waiter. She grated the cheese on one plate, our waiter came, she dropped the grater and told him to finish it up. He grated the cheese without asking how much cheese I wanted and gave us our plates which was whatever. I wasn't that bothered by it. But at this point we never got any bread sticks since we sat down. We were wondering if they still served those and even wondered if it was becuz of bread shortage or something. When we asked him if they still serve bread sticks, his response was "oh, you didnt get any?". My husband and I tried really hard not to laugh cuz not only it was obvious that we didn't, he would have known cuz he was our waiter. Finally, the bread stick came, though I was already full, only to realized we never got our soup nor salad. He was on the side chatting with another employee so we waved at him, he came over and asked if he had forgotten something, we then asked for our salad and soup. They finally came but we were both full already, so we got boxes to go. It didn't end here. We didn't get bread bag even tho we literally had the whole basket there and only ate one stick cuz it came too late. When it came time to pay, I gave him our gift card and credit card. He only took the gift card. I told him it doesn't have enough balance so he might wanna take the credit card. He then told me he'd come back for that. I was confused but I thought he'd know more than I do since he works there. A while later, he came back, pulled up the payment thing on the little monitor thingy on our table and left. The balance was wrong cuz the gift card wasn't applied. My husband and I thought it was funny cuz of how wrong everything went tonight. He came back a while later, we told him the gift card wasn't applied. He then went back to find the gift card he took. 5 mins after, he came back and asked if he has given us the gift card, we said no. He said he'd have to go hunt for it. 8-10 mins later, he came back, finally found it and applied it at our table for us. We paid and that ended our bizarre experience at this Olive Garden.
I thought to leave a review cuz it was hilariously wrong. We're not angry. We find it almost amusing. It was a total train wreck. Also, to be fair, it was a Sunday night and might have been a busy day before we were seated. Our side has 6 tables, and only us and another table were there. Behind us, there were 2 out of 6 tables only too. And as far as I know, he was only serving us and the table behind us. What a Sunday night 😂 I hope he does...
Read moreWe had the worst experience ever. Started off, server didn't know we were sat in her section. Hostess sat 2 families with kids and parents talking on phone on speaker so everyone could hear on both sides of us. Ordered & asked for extra sauce on both pasta's plus crushed red pepper. Pasta arrived no extra sauce on either. Asked again for the sauce & pepper. Sauce arrived no red pepper. Asked a 3rd time and finally got pepper. Reordered pasta refills. My wife changed her's to angel hair w/5 cheese and I said I would have the same as I had previously with the sausage & meatball. What arrived 2 orders of angel hair w/5 cheese. Waitress was upset and said I told her the same as she ordered (my wife). She then told me it will take awhile to get the correct refill I ordered (Spaghetti w/meat sauce, sausage & meatball) and there would be very few noodles due to the refill being smaller and the amount of meat in the bowl. She took the wrong item back instead of asking if my wife would like it. Waited 10 minutes, refill arrived with no extra sauce. The waitress stopped attending to us as she was clearly upset. She did bring water after my wife asked but she only refilled her glass not mine. At this point I was not going to ask for another refill or any additional soup since the waitress was clearly angered and I did not trust her demeanor. When we asked for the check she brought up the error and told us that I said the same as my wife had ordered. I corrected her and she started to counter and as she started she decided to simply walk away. This entire experience was horrible, I have never left Olive Garden so unsatisfied in my life. Usually we as other were doing would have been walking out with a pasta refill but our waitress was so hell bent on the mistake she made that she stopped being a waitress and we just wanted to get away from the kids, the waitress and the mistakes that made this experience just awful. This waitress (SKY) is not meant to be in this profession, she was forgetful with every table she engage, was rude to argue with us when she stopped listening. My wife recanted every word I said. We paid, tip minimal then left and are not interested in returning to Olive Garden again. So many other choices on where to eat and spend your money these days. In 57 years I have never had a waitress argue with me over a mistake she made - never! No we did not stiff her on the tip but it was not as much as she could...
Read moreMy family and I came here on a Sat, October 19th. We were a table of four and were sat in a half booth, half chair seating area. The place was fairly busy for a Saturday as expected but we got sat down pretty fast, no wait. Our server Kevon, super nice, we had a slight interaction/mishap with some waters but no biggie, he handled it like a champ and we moved on, I hope he’s doing good, feel bad for him. Anyway, he got our orders and everything. The first thing we all got served was waters and soup with breadsticks. Well… this is where things went downhill, the breadsticks had a hair in them sadly and the gnocchi and chicken soup was more like just chicken, we had a bowl with just ONE piece of gnocchi. I wanted to stay optimistic, but after we ate the soups and decided not to eat the bread because of the hair. We waited for a WHOLE HOUR and never got updates or served our main dishes. TWO families next to us had already gotten drinks, apps, and main dishes before we did. I definitely don’t blame Kevon for this, he was doing the best he could and it was only his 3rd day on the job. I blame whoever it is that’s supposed to train and help the new people out, poor guy was waiting tables left and right with no help or direction and it felt as if he needed help which led to us getting no food on time or good experience. After waiting the whole hour I decided to ask if I can cancel my order and leave. If the kitchen already started the food and is almost done I’d be willing to wait, but when I told the manager that she just checked the computer screen and said she apologize but it would take some more time. At that point the two tables I mentioned before had already gotten halfway into their mains, so I just told her it was okay and to cancel it and we would just leave. She apologized which I really appreciate but, I really hope they train better and at least help their new employees get the hang of stuff, instead of throwing them in on their 3rd day ESPECIALLY ON A SATURDAY with no sense of support. At the end I don’t know if maybe Kevon forgot to place our order on the computer, or what the issue was. But this was the first bad experience I’ve had with...
