This visit was for our anniversary. We had not been to Outback actually in several years, but wanted prime rib, something different than our usual burgers, seafood or Italian. We did not have a reservation or call ahead and were told the wait was about 45 minutes. Decided to wait, after all it was Saturday night. We were seated within 30 minutes. Right from the "Hello, welcome to Outback " our wait person, Matt S. was the absolute greatest!!! 10 🌟 's for him and his service!!! Give that man a raise! His easy going pleasant demeanor and attentiveness was just awesome! I had the prime rib with baked potato and salad and my husband had the prime rib sandwich with fries and a side salad, as well. The salads came out first (ha! Matt even asked if we preferred to have them with the meal or before!) We were given time to eat our salads and have pleasant conversation before our meals arrived. We have been having some difficulty at other restaurants with the salad issue. We ask for them before the meals and end up getting them with the meal...or not all a couple of times. I ordered my prime medium, it did come out more medium rare. I did not send it back though, for fear of it coming back overly done. It was nicely seasoned and very tasty overall. Matt must have noticed that I was a slower eater because he brought me out a hot au gus...so considerate! My husband enjoyed his sandwich also. Both portions were large enough for us to have left overs. We did order a dessert to go, the salted caramel cookie with ice cream and caramel sauce to go. I would not recommend doing this as it was not very good being warmed up. The cookie got so hard that it was difficult to eat it. I'm sure this dessert would be really good if eaten in the restaurant. Just an FYI this dessert is very rich, but in a good way rich! I have to comment on the atmosphere. It was a truly amazing experience! It was a comfortable temperature the music was playing, in the background loud enough to hear a little bit, but you could actually have a pleasant conversation without yelling across the table! We have to say the atmosphere/mood, the food and the absolute stellar service we received made this dining experience just perfect....just perfect!!! Thank you to all who helped make this evening the perfect (again, perfect!) anniversary dinner! We would definitely highly recommend this this location and restaurant !!!!!
Been to this place a total of about 4 times in the past 5 years. The first three were decent... nothing to really complain about . We were there last Saturday (which happened to be Valentines Day.) They sat us at a really tiny table (which is fine) but it was super wobbly, we personally put a stack of 5 coasters under the leg just to keep it from shaking every time we moved. I noticed other tables had the same thing going on. A few other turn offs.. We asked our server for more butter for the bread and she forgot. Then when she brought another loaf (upon our request because we were starving) she forgot ONCE again for extra butter. My husband asked for more butter with his potato and again, she forgot. We also had to ask for silverware (we heard the couple next to us complain and make jokes about the same things we were annoyed by.) Another turn off... the music. It couldn't be any more inappropriate. Not only was it not the kind of music adults would like to hear while having a nice quiet dinner, the fact that it was Valentines Day did not set the mood much (some kind of party pop mix.) I'm not sure what the staff was doing in the back, but we kept feeling a burst of cold air every few minutes.. that went on for the last 20 minutes of our meal (had to put my winter coat on.) When we finally left we saw some employees carrying dining tables outside, not sure what was up with that but i think it had something to do with the cold bursts of air throughout the dining room (it was zero degrees out the night we were there.) Our server was nice but not on top of her game. Overall the whole restaurant was a mess. There was food and other debris all over the floor, the bathroom garbage had paper towels overflowing and they were all over the floor. It was very unkempt. In the past we typically had a manager walk by and ask us how things were, that never happened on our last visit. I feel this place has gone WAY downhill. For what they charge you could easily go down a little further to Red Lobster and get a MUCH better (and bigger) meal with more variety and better service for...
Read moreWe came in to outback today to celebrate our grandmas 71st birthday. It was the 4 of us plus our 7 month old baby. Upon being greeted we told them 4 and a highchair and immediately I was told "we can give you a sling, you don't need a highchair, she is to small" I then said "my baby is 7 months old, and she can sit up, I will take a highchair, thank you". The host or manager whoever it was in pink then said " oh really, wow. Are you sure?". She then proceeded to tell me what a hichair looked like as if I was dumb. I have worked for outback before so I am fully aware what a sling and a highchair are. I've been in the restaurant buisness for over 13 years. At this point I was immediately irritated with the assumptions. Then we got to our table, got bread and what not then we ordered. Shortly after we got our drinks a buss boy came by and again asked if I wanted a sling,I finally said screw it sure. Then as soon as I put the baby up there she woke up. Like I figured she would. So I then had to ask for the highchair back. Super irritated at this point because now my baby has been woke up by this nonsense. We all ordered salads, I asked for extra dressing. I was then told " oh the boys are working and they are heavy handed". When I got my salad I did not recieve any extra dressing. Another assumption of how much dressing I like on my salad. We are then finishing up and we ask for the birthday sundae and we get that, and yet another assumption is made when I am talking about a homemade pistachio cake that I made for my grandmother. "Oh that's always good, they are so easy to make" like really?! That cake actually took me all day and I hand ground the pistachios. Wow like just so unnecessary like a simple . Wow that is so sweet of you. Would have been perfect and would have been what I would have said. I am so disappointed in the customer service. I am glad nobody called me back after I applied here just a...
