Northtown Village — Local services in Coon Rapids

Once a busy and bustling shopping destination and hangout station, Northtown Mall is now nothing more than a run down shell of its past. When big box department stores moved to trending outdoor shopping meccas, disorganized and deeply discounted outlet shops like "burlington" replaced them. This cheap element has unfortunately become part of the mall's fiber, and is most recognizable in the lack of care and disrepair.

The mall has plenty of close and convenient parking for quick and easy in and out access. This, combined with inexpensive specialty shops, makes it the perfect destination for quick single item shopping trips. Curently, Best Buy is the only big ticket store that still remains; however, several smaller niche stores geared towards the younger market also exist. Notably: Rue21, Hot Topic, Victoria's Secret...

Prices are getting RIDICULOUS!!! this is donated stuff people! What happens to someone that needs a toaster but can't afford a new one.. they used to be able to get a used one for under 5 dollars.. nope! How about 10 or 20??? What happened to being able to buy used bedding for 5 or 10? Nope! How about 30. Or more. Toys? Broken. 5 dollars. Puzzles? Could have pieces missing because they are used but how about If you shell out 5.99 or 8.99 .. all dressed 11 or 13 dollars. Even ones from Walmart that were 10 new. Why not pay more for a used one? Kids clothes, used, may be stretched out or stained but you might have to pay 5 dollars for a t shirt. 8 for a swimsuit.. Used plastic containers for 5 dollars.. new for 3 or less. Get some new people to...

Over priced dump! I cannot believe how people give..I said give away their stained clothes away and then they sell it for so much! I mean when did the thrift stores start doing that. Thrift stores used to be a place that if you are down on your money you go there. Now they are looking at the name of the designer and charging just a little under for something that has stains or holes in them. Crazy. U take something someone gave you for free and charge a customer $$$$. It's the biggest money maker scam I have ever seen. Sometimes I have seen the tags on items on clearance and they had a higher tag attached. So I'm done. Over done. And unhappy with the mess of it...
