I got my nails done recently by their newest nail tech, Shaiann. I went with her because she charged affordable prices and was available for a day-of appointment. Overall, my experience was okay- not bad, but not great either. She let me know she had just started her nail journey, so I think with more experience, she will be able to be even better. When I walked in, the first thing she did was ask my name and then literally began filing my nails. She didn’t clean my nails with a solution or ask me to wash my hands. While I don’t do my nails professionally often, I do know it’s always good to start with fresh, clean nails and hands. Shortly after, we went over what I wanted (plain milky white nails), but she said that wasn’t an option since she didn’t have the right polish. We decided on a chrome white nail. Throughout the appointment, Shaiann was very friendly and talkative. She’s very bubbly and I could tell she enjoyed doing nails. In the middle of the appointment, I noticed that she glued one of my nails crooked, so I told her. She ended up soaking it off. The 2nd attempt was crooked again but instead of soaking it off again, she said she’d try to file it so it would be straight. It was still crooked at the end of the appointment after the filing was done. I found that Shaiann seemed to be rushing through everything, like she wanted to be done as fast as possible, as opposed to creating quality nails. I do appreciate that she got my length and shape perfect to what I wanted by constantly checking in with me on it. But when it came to adding the chrome as the final step, she rushed through that process and when I got home and looked at the nails in the sunlight properly, some of my nails didn’t even have a shine/chrome effect to it. I also think there was a lack of communication and transparency about the pricing. When I booked online, she charged $60 for a full gel x set. She had a 10% promo that she honored for me, even though she said it expired- so thank you for still doing that for me :) -and let me know my total with the discount was $64. I should have asked her to break down the total but just decided to pay + tip. However, I think it would be helpful to explain the price of something at the time of decision making. I’ve had my nails done prior elsewhere and we always discuss pricing before doing my nails, so I assumed the set I did would be $60 only since it was so plain. But somehow, even with a discount, my total was higher than the advertised price. I assume it was due to the chrome option, but that wasn’t explained to me when we agreed on it, and I find that a little silly due to the fact that she rushed that part and my nails didn’t even have chrome on all of them. I also don’t know if cuticle oil should always applied at the end and if it’s included in the appointment, but she didn’t do that. Overall, Shaiann was nice and friendly, but you can see that doesn’t have much experience yet. I probably won’t book again with PNL unless it’s with a different nail tech...

This is definitely my new place to get my nails done and I love that it’s by appointments only. I thought it would be thirty minute appointment and I would be done nope it was an hour appointment and I love how Mailay took her time and talked to me the entire time. I will definitely recommend Polish nail lounge to everyone I know. Mailay even made sure my nails were the same length as the others. I wish I was recommended to this place sooner. Five stars are not enough I rate them a thousand stars. Mailay your the best and I love my nails plus my husband is wow they look wonderful not like some little kid did them. I've gone to other salons before and instantly stopped after going to Polish Nail lounge. I feel so safe and well taken care of here. I NEVER feel judged. They make sure you're happy with your results every step of the way and offer suggestions in the nicest manner. I never thought I'd fine a salon as nice as this place😭 truly such a hidden gem 💎 ✨️ such a friendly first timer place and I LOVE that they're appointment only. Every set will make you super excited to post on the gram 🥺
