The flavors here are all experimental and out there, and unfortunately all misses as well. We had the wahoo crudo, the stuffed peppers, the lamb belly, and cheesecake. Each dish had some ingredient, flavor, or aspect that just threw it off to where I couldn’t tell if it was good or not. None of the dishes amazed or wow’d, and more so than not we’re disappointing.
The space is odd as well, being shared by three businesses. The dishes are generally overpriced for what they are. The 20% tip added automatically to the bill is quite rude, but I’ve seen that at other undeservedly pretentious spots so whatever, but the ridiculous charge was the surcharge of 3.5% for using a credit card, that was not warned of before handing out cards. This was warrantless, and they quote “to cover the cost of accepting credit cards we collect a CC surcharge” which is insane, that’s called the cost of doing business, and is quite unethical to blindly charge someone.
The financial management aspects aside, the service was quite good, respectful and friendly staff.
The food quality and flavor as well as hidden fees should stop anyone that’s debating a visit...
Read moreTwo stars because the staff was nice. Otherwise, this would get one.
The food was just not. good.
The place had a confusing layout where you can order things from the display, but they would give it to you at your table. So I did that and told them I would be outside. I was there with my boyfriend and his dog, so I sat with the dog while he went inside and ordered. We waited for quite a bit and then he got his food and he loudly said “Ha ha! I got my food before you!” Which is funny, but essentially poor service. I got mine when the waitress realized their mistake.
My bf’s diced potatoes were fine but he said the eggs were literally “squishy” and running and just not good at all. I ordered several things like the Spanish omelette, koign-amman, and a taqueno. The taqueno was the only tolerable thing, the other two were almost inedible.
It’s sad cause this place has such good reviews but the food was not good at all. And it was about $14 for each of us. We should have went to IHOP but we were on vacation and wanted...
Read moreI don’t usually give out reviews but this one certainly deserves it. Wow! We came at noon and asked if I could have breakfast, and they say yes. Not many places do that nowadays and I understand, it’s lunch time. Finding a place that serves breakfast late, it is kind of a mission so this is a great find for me. My husband ordered the lunch special: lobster bisque and milanesa. I had a breakfast croissant. The food is amazing, the flavors, the quality, the freshness… Take into consideration this is not a fancy place and sadly, you don’t expect great quality from places like this one. So, YES, big surprise, these guys are awesome. I wish you nothing but the best, you...
