POC American Fusion Buffet & Sushi — Restaurant in Coral Gables

UPDATE 9/18/24: I have not been able to find another buffet with a quality that compares to POC, fresh seafood, fresh sushi, and truley respectable portions grilled meat, not shaved but nice thick slices like youd do at home or BBQ, and REAL bar with real drinks!!!!... IMm so sorry i didnt have more pictures but food was too good to spend my time on that, however i put videos that show almost the entire place, the bar is in there and the super long sushi table...

7/19/24: I was invited for the dinner menu for my birthday... lovely, delicious, and though you may not see as many buffet tables as in other cheaper places, thats a good thing, it allows for mor quality preparation because they are able to concentrate on the dishes they do serve... everything is fresher, tastier, seems to be made there... the Fried Calamari and Coconut Cream Shrimp (dont know the name lok) OMG absolutely delicious, never tasted anything like it, must be prepared there.... Snow Crab Legs and huge Cocktail Shrimp!!... Love Texas of Brazil? Nothing to envy here, they have Picanha, Churrasco and I think Sirloin or Filet Miñon, fresh grilled to your taste so to perfection!... all sorts of Sushi and even an interestingly delicious version that seems to be more like a treat, a desert.... and speaking of which, I tasted ALL the deserts, YUM, excellent, quite a variety actually, they even have a chocolate fountain!.... Lobster Bisque soup, nice flavor, i forgot to taste the Miso Soup. I tasted almost everything and had no conplaints. Nice fruit, good salads and more.... yes ice cream too. I even loved what I think was Seaweed Salad... Go, trust me, you will enjoy it, Im definetley going again, SOON!!, just first taste bits of everything before you decide to stack up your plate!!... Oh and download the parking app! 🥰... BTW they have a very nice bar so Uber/Lyft might be...

This is one of the worst “dining” experiences I have ever had, and it was extremely expensive as well. I paid 35 dollars to eat some of the worst buffet food I have ever had.

I got home after eating the disgusting food and had diarrhea immediately, then became constipated, then slept for only 3 hours and was woken up by stomach pain, and threw up for the first time in a very, very long time. I am now currently constipated with a huge painful knot in my stomach sitting on the toilet trying to get the rest of this toxic filth out of my system.

The meat at this place is absolutely disgusting, they don’t clean the meat, it’s so vile and horrible. And the messed up chicken, CHICKEN. The simplest thing in the world and they messed it up. As well as the pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread). It’s as simple as taking them out the bag, putting them in the oven or air frier (because they definitely buy them frozen) and letting them bake till done, SO SIMPLE COME ON.

They put no seasoning on the food, no effort in the waitress to fill water, doesn’t tell you soft drinks cost like 4 dollars extra (my friend ordered one and got 1 refill only because our waitress couldn’t handle 2 tables, AT A BUFFET, with only 2 PEOPLE AT EACH TABLE).

Also the decor seems like a circus/ice cream parlor mix, just weird, and kind of off putting.

Overall, worst buffet I’ve ever been too, somehow even worse than Golden Corral, and man that place is bad.

Only go here if you want to throw away your money and health. If you need to throw up, this is the place...

There are many options. Food is always available, fresh and hot. Fortunately I can say never been sick from this place. Only very full or not available to eat there. The only part there is a misconception. You must tip your server. Even if you are getting the food yourself.. the server still needs to be tipped. People I know no longer work there because of that. It's a shame to because how can someone not understand? The food gets to you even faster than a normal restaurant and the server comes busses your table, refills your drink... so it is a buffet, but you still have a server helping you. The wait, you understand it's not the workers fault? Please be nice to them. The company stays available to provide us with these options. Do not be so rude they will probably up and leave the area. Every time I have been there, someone is yelling at a worker at the host stand. Why do this? You only make everyone that is hearing you detest you as a person, no excuse to behave this way. If you want to yell, yell at the people sitting down forever. Not the employees. You already know as a customer I have defended them but it's not my business to be defending them. It would be better if a manager swooped in and threw those rude yellers out of the place. Miami is known for its ruddies.... In a job in Miami, the workers do not have to take it from anyone....! The rude ones can...
