Popeyes chicken is known to be good and the service is known to be NOT good. However, my most recent visits have been subpar (even for Popeyes standards). While we all know Popeyes is no chick-fil-a, the service appears to be getting worse. Upon my most recent visits, I witnessed just how poorly my local Popeyes is being managed. The two cashiers are very nice and are doing as well as they can. However, it is obvious this team lacks leadership on an extreme level. Instead of one cashier handling mobile/online orders and the other helping dining room guests, the both tackle whatever comes up next. There are a trail of tickets coming from the printer, from online orders. I go to pickup my scheduled order and it hasn’t even been started. I witnessed the cashier telling another employee they needed more of something (sides..like fries..etc) and the employee just instantly gets an attitude. Meanwhile there is a lobby full of customers and the manager is working the drive through. This screams toxic work environment with no real leadership or management. The employees do not appear to be working as a team. I grew up in the south so I have a lot of respect for Popeyes. This franchisee/owner needs to be aware that this place is not running properly. Read moreThis was my first time here and I was excited to try something new. I will not be coming back here. Not only is the food overly greasy (expected for fast food), but the service is terrible. My mom and I ordered my dad a chicken cheddar bacon sandwich and they didn’t tell me at the order screen they were out of bacon. We didn’t find out they were out until we got to the window and we didn’t want to wait 10 minutes because I had somewhere to be. We paid for bacon we didn’t get. It was also weird because the guy at the order screen told us the total was 25 something and when we get to the counter it was 38. I looked at the receipt and 38 was correct so I’m not sure why he said 25? Whatever those things are not that bad. It’s the fact that they charged us DOUBLE. After checking the bank account we found out we were charged twice separate times for the same meal. My mom went back there today and they still had the same attitude they had taking our order. Trust me, my mom is not a Karen, she’s very sweet and forgiving. So their rudeness had nothing to do with the way we were acting. When my mom requested a refund for the second charge they were acting like nothing happened and they didn’t just charge us 77 bucks. Also the lady only refunded us 37? Read moreToday was my first time trying Popeyes since everyone has been recommending me it. I must say it was HORRIBLE! I had gone there at 8:00PM on 09/08/2024. They seemed to be staffed but very unorganized. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo and I waited for 20 minutes. I had went to the restroom and it was entirely filthy, it smelled horrible in there and the smell was suffocating and the cleanliness was very low. I had come back and my order still was not ready. I thought, “Maybe they’re making fresh batch of chicken” I was wrong. After I got my order, I got in my car and took a bite of my chicken sandwich and it was cold. It seemed like it had been sitting there the whole day. The buns weren’t toasted at all, the chicken was very tough and chewy. When I decided to try the fries next it was also cold and seemed like it had been sitting under the heating lamp all day. It was a waste of $12 for the quality of food that had been served.
