Such a great restaurant on so many levels! We had a party of about 10 last night to celebrate the birthday of my late wife who passed away 6 years ago…myself, my two older boys, and her former nurse co-workers/friends. We chose Pal Rancho II bc it was my wife’s favorite Colombian restaurant, she was from Cali, and last night they didn’t disappoint. We had two servers, Lady and Ana, who were the kindest and most attentive servers I think I’ve ever had! They took care of each one of the guests with a pleasant professionalism that made me truly want to have them sit down and join us! lol Ana even helped me tie the birthday balloons around the table prior to the guests arriving! The restaurant is very clean, the food is absolutely delicious, and the prices are very fair. They played the birthday song after bringing out the most amazing flan, candle included, and simply put, Ana and Lady made sure that our evening was perfect! Oh yeah, they even became a photographer for us on more than one occasion! Thank you ladies, and all of Pal Rancho II for making this special evening one with incredible memories. I will see you...
Read moreThis is the second time we went to Pal’ Rancho. The first time we had take out. My wife had mondongo soup and said it was alright. I had pollo a la plancha. It was mediocre, but we love Colombian food and thought we’d give it another shot. I tried rooting for this place, but it fell way short. It all began when I ordered jugo de fresa and it came out luke warm. Warm juice ☹️. The arroz con pollo had no flavor, tasted like boiled chicken with no seasoning sitting on top of the rice. My wife had carne Asada which had even less flavor. Tasted like boiled meat with a dash of cumin. My wife is Colombian and we have had the pleasure of experiencing traditional and authentic food when visiting family in Bogota . There are too many authentic and delicious restaurants in So. FL to waste an opportunity on Pal Rancho. Very disappointed as it is right down the street from us. I hope they remedy this. FYI, I’m not sure who all these “city guides” are giving 5 star reviews. Look up reviews for this place on Yelp. Much more realistic...
Read moreI do have to say that I’m not the biggest fan of Colombian food, like I don’t dislike it but I don’t like like it. That being said this place has really great food and great service! My grandmother is down from LA and they don’t have a lot of Colombian options up there so she likes to go to them when she’s down here. I have always loved there arepa rellenas and costilla de res soup but lately I’ve tried some of there other dishes, we’ve even ordered their arepa de chocolo’s frozen to go and she has one almost every morning, we also get a variety of their paletas Togo to keep at home for a snack and they’re super delicious. Also I can’t say enough about how great their service is, it’s nothing fancy or crazy but I will always keep coming back to a restaurant that has great service. Tonight I wasn’t really in the mood to eat or to go out but my grandmother insisted and I had a salad with grilled chicken and even something so simple was great, so apparently you can’t go wrong here. The portions are great and the prices...
