Edit 12/02: since then they have been messing up the orders. One on 11/18 and then 12/02 to be very precised in recent times. At the time of picking up 12/02 drive thru order, I asked the order taker (this order taking guy - he is awesome! Just like Dr Evil's mini me) to not to mess up the order very politely. He didn't say anything, just like mini me. After reaching home, opened up bell boxes and guess what..! Right, another mess! Went back to the drive thru. Gave the incorrectly made item to this awesome guy with an expression that you never change! He opened up the box and checked and kept on saying that it is correct order. I had lot of questions on his IQ level at that time. Another worker looked at the order and confirmed that it is wrong. At that moment I told him about incorrect orders from past. So, instead of aplogizing or showing little gratitude, these are platinum words I heard from this awesome mini me: "I would never go to a place who keeps on meesing up orders". It clearly showed he was shameless and pathetic. Definitely, this is not a kind of expectation one would have buying favorite food of their children (8 & 10). My 10 year'ol - daddy, you told him not to make mess ahead of picking up the order. Well, he doesn't know how strong mini me was! Coralville Taco Bell sucks because of this order taking guy. Advise to taco bell - For a day, please stop firing up tacos & burritos, instead fire this guy!
The employees who work there doesn’t look that much dumb to read simple online orders. Unfortunately, they are! Have been in situation when they messed up the order in such a way that I can’t do anything except go back there and cancel the order. Tonight is that special night!...
Read moreI ordered 2 nachobell grandes like I aways do. No bean extra beef with chips on the side. I got a tiny bowl of my toppings (beef, sour cream and cheese) I paid EXTRA for extra beef. I went into the store because I didn't see the sour cream and tomatoes for my order and spoke with Kalie whom claimed to be the store manager to ask where the sour cream and tomatoes were. I was told all the toppings were in 1 tiny bowl. I tried to explain there's no way I was given extra beef if the contents of the cheese , sour cream, tomatoes and the beef all fit in a half ounce bowl. I explained to her that I order the same thing every single time I come to taco bell, she decided to raise her voice at me to tell me she's the store manager and that she's the one that prepped the food and she knows what extra beef is and wasn't even willing to have a conversation and resolve my complaint. So I advised I would contact corporate to have it resolved. She decided to raise her voice and threaten me by saying "that's fine! Contact corporate and I will make sure my staff knows not to give you extra beef anymore" Very rude and unprofessional. And quite the threat when I HAVE TO PAY FOR EXTRAS on my orders. The service I was provided is sickening. This staff clearly needs trained on customer service skills. Being the "general manager" she claimed to be, she should know better than to speak to a paying...
Read moreUpdate, this location closed its lobby doors before 4:40pm. No sign or obvious reason as to why it was closed.
I called this location after rudely being told to get out by the Iowa City store, they didn't have anything saying their lobby was closed and I wasn't about to spend 20+ minutes in the drive thru. When they answered the guy on the phone was quite rude as well without me even having a chance to say anything. He didn't answer with anything to acknowledge that this was the right number for Taco Bell and when I asked if it was the Coralville location I had to repeat myself about 3 or 4 times til he rudely answered yes in a very annoyed tone. I then asked if they have any special issues right now with having the lobbies closed and he gave me the answer that they are understaffed so lobbies are closed. Again with a snotty tone so I just hung up. I will not be returning to either Johnson county locations as the "limited" staff they do have are not worth my...
