Wendy's — Restaurant in Coralville

First time at this location and it was horrible. A group of 5 people were ahead of the 7 of us and it took 10 mins before we were able to order. During this time There were 2 childern in the lobby that were annoying the few patrons that were in there, the one boy took his belt off and hit my son with it, come to find out they were an employee's childern and were sitting in the lobby unattended. Probably not a good idea to use the lobby as a daycare center.

It then took over 20 mins for our order to come up, by then the fries that had been put out were cold and the cashier threw those out in a large trash can with the many other fries that appeared to meet the same fate. New fries were replaced and we then sat down to eat. My wife found what appeared to be a fake eyleash in her sandwich. That ended any kind of appetite we had.

The lobby booths are falling apart, tables are broken, the kitchen area appeared to have a leak or a spill that had been covered with cardboard. The cardboard was fully soaked and employees walked a crossed it like it was nothing, not to mention the 5 people in the kitchen area moved like they all could care less what was going on. The bathrooms were a mess, no toliet paper or paper towels , broke handles on the bathroom stalls.Orders ahead and behind us were being messed up, people were coming in from the drive thru and complaining and no one seemed to care. The poor gentleman behind us ordered a chicken sandwich and fries, and he was still waiting on his food when we left 20 mins later. We will drive right past this place the next time we are in the area.

What a mess this place is. You can tell the management and crew don't care about their jobs by the way this establishment is being run. With the small number of patrons that were there, I would hate to see how that place would operate...

Went here about a week ago. The fries were decent and the only thing that was close to hot. When I tried to use the new fangled drink machine there was no ice so the girl who took my order was nice enough to get my drink from behind the counter. Now for the bad. They didn’t seem to care about taking our order,probably because they were closing in a half hour. We were there with plenty of time to eat. When I went to get my drink there were NO instructions on how to operate the drink machine. Turns out it’s one of those touch screen machines which I have never used before. After the employee said you have to touch the screen to start it there was no ice. Also the area where the drink comes out looked like it had not been cleaned at all for the day. After the employee got my drink from behind the counter it tasted like a plastic cup that had been sitting around for a long time. The burger was lukewarm and tasted like the old frozen patties you used to get from McDonalds. While we were sitting there eating one of the employees in back was shouting something. I couldn’t hear what he said but my sister said he was swearing. Another employee yelled at him that there were customers in the restaurant. While we eating they turned out the lights in the lobby. This was at 5:00. My sister didn’t like her meal either but I don’t know what her dislikes were. Now for a rant. Why would a restaurant close at 5:00 when people normally want to eat. If you are going to close let your customers know. Clean the place. Seemed like there were no adults around (I may be wrong but I didn’t see any).
