First we paid 36$ for two adults and a child not that bad right? Well. We went to get food and it was either old or just not there. Mind you they are no where near a quarter capacity of customers on a Friday night if that doesn’t say something.
My daughter got one spoon of Macaroni and HALF a slice of pizza because they cut down on portion sizes to save food cost.
If you can’t tell I used to work in the food industry and to say even if it were the last option I would hate to work here.
Sadly enough I got no slices of pizza because by the time I got the disgusting spaghetti noodles by digging to the bottom of food hazardous, hours old noodles, and dug out my dried out corn that almost broke my tooth and tasted like they were cooked in garlic grease there was no pizza left.
So I wanted to get dessert, but there were only a few pieces left with the handle of the tongs laying in said dessert food.
My fiancé managed to get four, half slices of pizza (again portion control) and that was it. Myself and my daughter got whipped Oreo topping for desert from the salad bar and that was the only edible things we got to be frankly honest.
The floors were sticky, the tables were never wiped or cleaned for new customers, I mean sure dishes were moved but it was a total disaster on top of the women’s bathroom having NO LOCK forcing myself and four year old to have to stand against the door to hold it shut.
But let’s talk about how every game in the game room but four of them cost a whole 2$ to play. That lets you play ten games at most with a 20$ note.
We were out of there in less than an hour and a half but still all that time eating with no fresh food coming anywhere you’d figure there would be fresh food coming especially with the incoming Friday night crowd. Atleast if not while we ate then maybe by the time we were done with the games?
Nope, wrong again. We came out of the game room with our hardy 1.00$ worth of toys and BAM every single tray that held food besides yet again the hot vegetables that were hours old and the salad bar, were just gone out of sight.
There was NO FOOD for anyone at that point. not even the empty trays that held them So I’m glad we left.
This place has been in business for more than ten years and used to be rated the most fun in town. Not only am I SEVERELY disappointed, I’m frustrated it’s gone this down hill after only two owner changes.
I am requesting a full refund for the food considering I had none to eat. Keep the game card money, yall look like you need it...
Read moreFood is just okay....when it's fresh and when available. They fall behind on keeping up with the need for food. Was in there the other day and asked for two specific pizzas to be made since there was none available, was told it be around 7 to 10 minutes. Waited and went to check on it and the lady had clearly forgotten about the pizzas I was told it'd be another 7 minutes which in reality was more like another 15-20 minutes. When the pizzas were done and came up they weren't what we requested (missing have the toppings normally on them) but we went a head and ate since we had already been waiting 30+ minutes. Others were waiting as we waited as well for stuff like cheesesticks and other pizzas. This was also on a Friday when they were having a "Minion" theme for the kids, so you would think that with it being a Friday and having a kid theme going on that they would have more than one person preparing and cooking pizzas but they did not from what we observed the 30+ minutes we waited for food. Also, out of all the games in the game room....7 games were out of order and the "dizzy chicken" game (which should have been considered out of order) was taking people's money even after the worker behind the counter was told multiple times of it not working correctly. He would just refund what money that had been lost but never tried to fix the game or even put an out of order sign on it. They also need to have a better price on games or lower the prices on the prizes. I've seen items up there that had came from the Dollar Tree that would probably cost a child $10+ just to earn enough tickets to buy...definitely a rip off. They also have had a trash can/bucket in the game room for over a year that I know of, where something (maybe the roof) is leaking and still have not fixed it. After watching people about fall over it, you'd think they'd try and do...
Read moreWent to Mr. Gattis at our kids request. I'll say the staff was friendly and the food was decent. There was a bit of a dinner rush so a wait for pizza is to be expected. Way better than times in the past. Tables were gross ilk add that the staff was cleaning here and there. My 7 year old pointed out that the bench seat was hurting her. I traded seats and wow they are worn out bad. Place could use an update. Unfortunately that could cost and arm and a leg to get those seats updated I'm sure. What was not impressive was the many games that were not functional or missing pieces. There was still games to play but when you go in spending over 70 bucks plus games its a bit of a shocker. Having to keep saying "no sorry that game doesn't work", was being said way to much. I pictured some not all of the non functional games. The games that were in use had sticky film on them and to my surprise 4 out of the 6 hand sanitizer dispensers in the area were out of sanitizer. Overall Gattis was a let down. It will be a while before we plan to go back. Hopefully improvements will be made to bring this place up to standard.
5/23/23 Update: So I gotta say the staff was welcoming and set us up with whatever pizza we wanted. Big improvements were made in the game room. From what I could tell all but 1 game was working. Along with new games. Found myself getting my game card refilled to keep playing. Prizes were decent as well. Noticed some improvements in the dining area as well. 1 room had a TV instead of a projector. For the size of the room they could have gotten bigger. The kids room still lacked improvements. Seats/tables are still needing improvements. However I can see efforts are being made to improve the experience. I can't say I'll be excited to go back BUT I won't be filled with dread about spending hard earned...
