⚠️!WARNING!⚠️: DO NOT EAT HERE! We have been going to this location for take out every now and then and yesterday will be our FINAL time ordering from here.
There was a large shard of GLASS in our Pineapple Fried Rice. We didn't notice it last night, as this dish was ordered as a lunch meal for the next day (today, 6/28/23), so it was packaged in tupperware, and only saw it once we started eating from it. About HALFWAY into the meal did we happen to just look a little closer, just for no real reason, sometimes you look at things to look at them. Thank goodness we did!
It was a shard of what I am assuming was a drinking glass. It was roughly the size of a quarter. We are now extremely concerned as to if we consumed micro-shards of broken glass that wouldn't be noticeable unless they start causing pain/injury. So that's now something I will be monitoring closely.
Again, be WARNED! As someone who has worked in food/drink service before, this sort of mistake does NOT happen without some SERIOUS ISSUES and GROSS NEGLIGENCE in Kitchen Staff and Management.
If glass breaks near food, that food is supposed to be thrown away! Not SERVED TO PEOPLE! The cost of remaking a pot of rice is much cheaper than a fine from the Health Department or a Lawsuit, I would imagine!
I will be submitting a complaint to the Health Department at my earliest convenience and I hope this will come down on the owner hard. This isn't a simple mistake. This is DANGEROUS and EASILY...
Read moreFirst, I was ravenous from having not eaten all day, so I ordered my favorite Thai Green Curry. The online menu states that it comes with eggplant, green peppers, and bamboo shoots. I usually ask to have steamed soft tofu added instead of meat because tofo usually just works so well in curries. The person who took my order immediately asked if I wanted the vegetarian curry, to which I answered no, just the basic green curry as described, adding tofu. Welp, they gave me vegetarian curry anyway, I guess, and it came loaded with a hodgepodge of terribly undercooked vegetables: broccoli, onions, carrots, zucchini, peas, cabbage, bamboo shoots, green pepper, and eggplant. I love vegetables, but I wanted what I order d and was looking forward to, curry with tofu and delicious soft eggplant...not a mess of bland and hard canned and frozen vegetables. I couldnt even chew the piece of broccoli. The carrot was still hard. The zucchini was nealry raw as well and flavorless. There was a large slice of completely raw onion, and the silky eggplant? Tough and bitter and undercooked. There were 4 (we counted) very small pieces of tofu. Nothing harmonized together. None of the vegetables nor the tofu were infused with the curry. I scarfed down a small bowlful because I had nothing else to eat, but it was grainy and not good at all. Actually awful. I wanted to take it back but had to put my toddler to bed. Very, very...
Read moreBy far the worst Thai food we’ve had. Would not recommend. We ordered online and it was expensive for Thai food but we thought we’d give it a try.
Well... the pad Thai, we’re not convinced it wasn’t just noodles, ketchup, and a dash of cayenne pepper. Since it literally tasted and looked like ketchup and noodles.
The pad see ewe was either burned or cooked in a pan that had something burned in it. Since it had an overpowering burned/Smokey flavor to it.
The beef and broccoli, which when you order you have to pay an extra $2 for the beef otherwise I guess you just get broccoli? But it also had bell peppers, so it tasted like fajitas and not beef and broccoli.
The pot stickers were absolutely not pot stickers and some sort of spinach wonton. They were made with wonton wrappers, a drop of spinach/cream cheese, and folded into a flat triangle. Not terrible but not a potsticker/dumpling.
The only good dish was the panang (curry). That is after the bell peppers were removed.
Almost everything we ordered had an excessive amount of bell peppers in it so it was like a Tex mex Thai food. Very disappointing and very expensive. When ordering its normal Thai prices but you have to add the meat/protein adding a couple more dollars to each dish making them all overpriced compared to typical Thai restaurants.
Again, Would not recommend. Made the mistake of adding a tip to the online order, lesson...
