Boil Daddy - Corona — Restaurant in Corona

I recently visited The Boil Daddy in Corona with my family, them having enjoyed their previous experience with delicious food and excellent service. However, our recent visit was marred by the incompetence and rudeness of our waiter, Luis. Not only was he confused about the menu, leading to inaccurate ordering, but he also displayed a shocking lack of professionalism.

Upon noticing discrepancies in the bill, I asked Luis for clarification, only to be met with condescension and rudeness. He attempted to justify unjustified charges for add-ons we neither requested nor were informed about. When I challenged him on his poor service and lack of communication, he responded with further rudeness, implying that he would increase the charges if I persisted.

Not only did Luis fail to properly describe the menu details, leaving us uninformed as customers, but he also handled the situation poorly, resorting to a dismissive and confrontational attitude. It's disappointing to see such a decline in service quality from a place we had...

This place reminds me of those seafood placed that gets cooked in a plastic bag .... those shrimps with special sauce... best eaten with your hands...

In anycase, visited on a weekday after lunch. Maybe around 2pm. The placed didn't have any patrons.

I ordered food to go. A fish and chip and their pasta.

The fish and chip was not bad. It was lightly coated ... I would have wished for the batter to be a little thicker and crunchier. The fish meat was pretty good but it seemed a little thin for me. Probably since I did have it to go, it wasn't as crispy as I wanted it to be when I got home. The fries were pretty good.

The pasta was okay as well. It's like a make your own pasta with a choice of their sauce. I opted for the mild but it somehow became a little too spicy for me.

Price wise, I shelled out 40 dollars for these 2 items including taxes and tips.

I wish them luck and all the best.

I only wish that they could have placed the condiments outside of the food box rather than on top...

New favorite spot for seafood and seafood boil in a bag! I never had seafood boil but my partner wanted some and we found this place open late and gave it a try. It was so good, we are definitely going back. I had the crispy mahalo fish plate-Hawaiian crispy golden battered white fish -that came with two big scoops of white rice and sauce which I ate with fresh lemon. I chose the daddy sauce in mild and it was so good, lots of garlic👌 it was enough flavor for me where it was not too spicy. My partner had a mixed unpeeled shrimp bag and it came with potato corn sausage and crab but he chose the “OMG spicy” sauce and it was way too spicy for me but he loved it 🤷‍♀️ we shared the Cajun fries on the side and had our drinks too.
