My family and I tried out Kalaveras for my birthday. You know a place is good when you are planning your menu selection for next time and you haven't finished your visit yet. 😉 We started with a margarita flight and queso fundido. Yum. My favorite margarita from the flight was the cucumber margarita. Next time, I will be trying the guava margarita. For dinner, many different tacos were consumed, as well as nachos, and salsa verde enchiladas. We topped our dining experience with their delicious flan, a churro ice cream sandwich, and a birthday dessert and song from the staff. Our service while dining at Kalaveras was fabulous. Our server was Katherine. She was helpful, attentive, and had a cheery disposition. I was able to reserve our table through my Google search of Kalavers. When we arrived, we were sat at a high top in the bar. The atmosphere in the bar was chill but upbeat. Lights were dim, music was up, and the artwork was fabulous. As a family dining experience, the loud volume and the not kid friendly music videos made it interesting. We could have asked to move to the regular dining room, but the bar area just seemed more interesting. My only complaint would be the hyper vigilant management for the evening. Since the Corona location is new, I am assuming they were wanting to make sure that everyone was on top of their game. Unfortunately, their micromanaging caused a few hiccups in service. They constantly interrupted server's flow of service for feedback from them on different things, but that would cause the servers to forget what they were in the middle of doing prior to the interruption. Having experience in management in the service industry, I would recommend the floor managers focus on their guests with table touches and assist in food runs [when time permits]. This way, you can touch base with your guests and learn how service is or isn't flowing on the floor. If there are major problems, then step in. Otherwise, take notes, and check back with your servers as you close them out for the night. Provide feedback to them based on your interactions with your guests, and your observations for the evening. Aside from the manager induced glitches, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Kalaveras and can't...

BEWARE FOOD POISONING we came here for the second time for my birthday, last year everything was good, but this year on April 15 we came again me my 2 brother in laws and my son we ordered and ate waiter was good and polite , but in about couple of hours I started feeling something wrong with my stomach like a nausea and vomiting but I didn't vomit , I couldn't get good sleep because my stomach was upset , the following day it was the same thing till about 6 o'clock when I started feeling fever and chills , stomach was upset with pain for few days today Saturday I am over it now my first brother in low which he had a way severe sickness than mine, he vomited 4 times and he got headache and inflammation under his right ear also he got fever but no chills his voice is hoarse till now from vomiting too much he also said that he was feeling fatigue since then but also start to feel better my second brother in law had a little upset stomach but he took medication and was better my son who ate some kind of pasta dish had no issues, we all had burritos except my son , I hope this review reach the management and have them check food safety protocols and employees food handling , I usually dont write reviews. even if food came cold or it's not delicious but edible, but when it comes for good safety and getting people sick then I have no choice but let people know what we experienced this time eating there unfortunately we won't be visiting this...

What a disaster. This place reminds me of some hole in the wall restaurant and TJ and I don’t wanna say anything disparaging against TJ.. none of the furniture matches it doesn’t look cute. They have red roses the stick cord but there’s patches missing roses on the wall so it makes it tacky. the music is loud on every TV in the dining room. You can’t hear anything because you’re talking over the music videos and I can hear other people yelling across their table because they’re trying to talk to their family and friends at their table and they’re competing against the music videos. I ordered the lemonade slushy, but this less she was out of order. Then I go to order the elote appetizer. Appetizer comes out with my dinner. We ordered the burrito and it came out cold so that means it all the ingredients are not fresh and are sitting at room temperature or below because the burrito felt frozen and the beans were frozen. They take it back and remake the burrito, but my pasta just tasted like oil. I had no flavor. It just tasted like a lot of oil. Then this man is on his phone which he’s part of management but as a guess I don’t want to see him on the phone. That’s not the atmosphere I came to...

Upon arrival, the door was opened for us and greeted by a female manager. Next, the Smiling Host greeted us and sat us quickly in a comfortable spot. Our Server, Alejandra, offered drink options. We then proceeded to order our food. Pretty good selections and alot of adult beverages to choose from... we chose Agua Fresca Peppino. Non alcoholic refreshing drinks for the hot weather. Food arrived relatively quick, enough time to take In The ambiance of the new restaurant. My wife enjoyed our meal and overall had a great experience. If I can suggest to the management team: Everyone needs to put a Smile on and try to not show the stress of an opening. Alejandra, seldom smiled and looked overwhelmed. Then, I noted that everyone was so focused on their jobs, they forgot the basic service item: Friendly and Genuine Smiles. We will be back and for being only open for 3 days, we are excited to have you in the Corona Community. Hmmm... I can't start a new review? Another amazing Visit for lunch. Food, ambiance, and Service are always on Point!
