Was looking for pool cleaning service options and stopped in to inquire about obtaining an estimate for weekly service. I was given a date and time frame for the initial inspection which was a no show but then called and came a day or two later...no problem. When Oscar arrived he checked out the pool and equipment, even took a water sample to be evaluated and answered a couple of questions. He appeared very knowledgeable which was a selling point for me and he said he would reach back out to me within a few days. Once again, no problem. I did receive one vm mssg and called him back the next day along with several other calls back within the next 1-2 weeks. No response at all. Stopped by the store 3 times since, asked if there was any issue why Oscar never would return calls. The young man working the desk looked up the notes and provided me with the monthly estimate along with a few other items that needed attention. I asked if he knew which day(s) I could have the weekly service done but he could not answer since only Oscar would know that. At the third visit I once again inquired as to what the problem was in trying to have Oscar call back and to probably start the regular service, he did not know. I asked if the owner was available with the response of "he's never here" with no assurance of letting him know of my inquiry. I am assuming both owner and Oscar are very well off and don't need to be bothered with new accounts which I can accept. Read moreHit or miss at argus. Sometimes they are knowledgeable and other times it is a hot mess with attitude! They are not competitive and now we have several options in town, so check to see pricing at other locations, you WILL SAVE $$$ at other places. We have found over the years some of the techs really do not know much and give very bad "advice". We have had several problems with them basically using trial and error at a huge cost to us and not solving the problems. There are just some employees that we refuse to deal with because they lack the knowledge to get the job done EVEN AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. We have had too many bad experiences in recent years to ever continue business with them and have found other places much better at targeting the problem the first time at a much lower price! Argus gets ZERO stars from us, but only because this site starts with one. Read moreABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE I have EVER received!!!...They installed a heater for my pool a few years back I have always had a problem they said it was something with my heater, had another service co. out recently they said the heater temperature gauge was installed in the wrong pipe that was why I could not get proper temperature reading. I had that Co. out to fix another problem caused by Argus. I had a new Hayward motor installed it had a bad drive Argus came out installed a new drive under warranty but did not tighten screws, So as motor increased speed there was a horrible screeching noise. I called them & Charlie told me they did what they was suppose to do! If I had another problem call Hayward (P.S. HAD I LET THE MOTOR RUN IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED MAJOR DAMAGE) I shut it off! But that was the best advice Charlie could give!! I called Hayward & they (STRONGLY) recommended I call CESARS POOL REPAIRS.
