My family and I frequent B&J’s often, so we decided to have a gathering for a birthday party there this past weekend in the middle of the day when it was not busy. After ordering, we were told there was a mandatory 15% gratuity for a party of 10 or more. I assumed we would have an assigned server. That was not the case. Staff members brought out our three platters of wings. Once our pizzas came out, we were left with dirty plates that they did not offer to remove from our table. We placed all of the dirty dishes on a nearby clean table to make room for clean plates for the pizza. When we were done with our pizza platters and used plates, we again put them on the other table. No one from the staff offered to clear our tables as we ate nor bring us a pitcher of water or a pitcher of soda to fill the drinks we purchased. If you’re going to charge a 15% gratuity for larger parties, then that party should have an assigned server just like any other restaurant. Customers should not be charged a gratuity to bring out food and clear the tables when the guests leave. That is their job, and they earn an hourly wage to do it. The level of service we received did not warrant a mandatory gratuity. You have some of the best pizza in town and...
Read moreLove the pizza here. But I feel that the night staff doesn't care to keep their customers. I came in one evening and ordered a small pizza before the kitchen closed. This time, it took a little longer than normal which wasn't a big deal for me. But as a result of that situation, I wasn't able to get a soda refill as I normally would. One of the employees told me that the soda fountain station was shut down for the night. I then went to the shift manager who didn't seem to care. This was with a good 45 minutes left till the establishment was to close. Given the time it took for me to finally get my food, I would think that an employee could place that piece of plastic into the soda dispenser back in for a minute for me to get one last refill. Or how about going to that one last customer eating and offer him/her one last refill before they shut down the soda fountain. Follow-up: Yes it did happen long ago so sorry for any confusion. I tried several times to catch you (at both locations) when it was likely that you would be there. I don't wish to eat there again till I at least speak to a manager. I miss your pizza and would to have it again...

First off. Don't come if you're hungry. Took an hour and fifteen minutes from time of sale to receive our "pizza". I put "pizza" in quotes as our food probably met the definition of pizza, but I would not label it as such with pride. Floppy, Soggy, Unseasoned, Thin, and tasteless. While I was not one of the 8 kitchen workers, I would be willing to wager that my toppings were recently frozen; the only flavor originates from the different freezers they were pulled out of.
The building is loud and carries a very strong echo, so while you're waiting for tomorrows dinner you can work your way up to your next migraine. This wouldn't be a problem, but the only way to know when your order is on the way is when the kitchen walks around yelling a name for minutes at a time.
Finally, good luck finding a spot to sit down. Every table that didn't already have a group sitting and waiting at it was covered in what I assume to be remnants of diners from the meal prior.
Only reason I'm giving 2-Stars instead of 1-Star is that the only part of my order that was mixed up was the time zone I was...
