Hi Laura. You requested I “message the page." Decided to reply here, as I have no idea what that means. Thank you for your quick response. I want to state that I am certain that you do hold your restaurant to high standards, and surely never intend to serve anything rotten, but I assure you that I had 2 pieces of black, gooey lettuce. I would typically point something like this out to a server, but the restaurant is so new and I know that so many places now have staffing shortages, so actually thought I should give you guys a break and I just didn’t want anything to spoil my nice lunch with my son. Which, in retrospect, I should have pointed it out. I also know, since I make many salads, that pieces when being rinsed off, can be missed. So, I assure you, I am not lying or exaggerating about that lettuce. Many people are shy and not confrontational, so they just do not return. So, I know you rely on customers to share –so you can fix it and make it right. In my case, additionally, my food was bland, but I decided to let that go too, as just personal preference. But, after leaving and pulling out my receipt, to then see the chicken charge and cc processing fee, I decided to call----as, at that point, I was annoyed. I was told by the manager that it was not your policy to give any compensation after someone leaves. I thought, “What about a person who orders take out and something is missing?” About the processing fee, I –like most customers-- do not pay attention to all the restaurants media pages and their announcements. Few (actually none that I know of) restaurants tack on that fee. And having it at the bottom of a menu –well, once again, who reads the entire menu? Usually, what is at the bottom is a warning about seafood or steaks not cooked well. And the same with one’s receipt- most just look at the numbers. Not many people carry much cash anymore. I did not have cash on me anyway, so it really was not a choice. After your explanation, I do understand why you decided to tack a fee on, but I wonder how many people you asked about it, would rather just pay that smaller amount charged within the food somewhere? I do want you to know that I very much appreciate your civil, tactful and diplomatic remarks and offer to compensate me. I mention this because I briefly read through the replies given to those who also complained on Google, by Ryan. They were without diplomacy. In one reply, Ryan started off with how it was the first time the restaurant had ever been given a complaint. So, does that make it invalid? That is so insulting and dismissing. At the end of that response (Ryan’s), he wrote “Good try.” What the hell does that mean? Another reply of his: “Hello, people tell us we suck every day, but lucky for us some how we are still really busy.” So, do you get people telling you that the restaurant sucks every day? I doubt that, but obviously he wrote that out of anger and with no forethought. He went on to lecture the person on how he has worked long enough to realize that people find it easier to leave a bad review, rather than speak up—and how it isn’t common for a person “to not like anything.” You do not have perfect employees, nor does any restaurant and sometimes things just happen, even at really good restaurants. Next he criticized the guy, regarding the fee, for ‘having the chance to pay cash, but didn’t.” In 2022, we are mostly a cashless society. He also went over the reason for the fee, with the added remark “you do the math.” No, customers should not have to do the math or be berated for leaving a bad review. So, I am very happy that I received a response from you, instead of him. I am guessing, but do not know, he is the one I called about the situation, who flat out told me, “no compensation.” His tone and remarks, made it feel like he was insinuating that I was lying about the chicken charge. Maybe he could take some lessons from you in diplomacy and tactfulness. Please advise on how to get the refund for the chicken....
Read moreAte there last night, 9/27/24. Heather was my waitress, she advised me to have a seat wherever I liked. I sat off in the corner but the table and chair was wobbly so she cleaned off the table in front of me and I sat there. I order a crown and spirit and seafood fried rice. Now with seafood being the key word I figured it would be a substantial amount... when I got my food it was a lot for one person, which I think is great, but upon eating I noticed the shrimp was buried in the rice, which is fine... what I found disturbing is that the tail was still on and i only had two shrimp on the whole meal...I had more onions than shrimp. Unless there is some fine print on the menu that I overlooked, please help me understand why I only had two shrimp on a "seafood" entree? There was plenty of crab meat I will admit. The dish itself was amazing but I'm confused as to why the shrimp is buried in the rice with the tail still on... vision someone literally biting into the tail as it's buried in rice, let alone only two shrimp. Nevertheless I ate my meal and took the rest home after having another drink. Heather was very attentive and polite, the rest of the staff seemed to work exceptionally well together from my observation. I don't go out to eat much but if I find a place a like with a good atmosphere and a particular waiter or waitress and staff that show good customer service, then I'll return. Don't take my comments as negativity but rather a mere observation. Service from Heather was great and she is a good asset as well as the crew that was also working the floor and the bartender from my...
Read moreI have not been here before , I know the decor is supposed to be modern , and I did not think it was anything special. It is very loud , there was a large party on the opposite side and we heard singing and all conversation, and the table by us had a very young child that was ear splitting screaming at one point , it was only for a few minutes , but that was enough . It is nice they put a carafe of water on the table , but the glasses are so small . What is the point ? Once you have had what would be a normal glass of water , carafe is empty. But our server Christina ( also the bartender) did keep a carafe on the table. We were the only table who did not have our food, and it seemed a long time to even get our soup and salad. I thought the "lunch" menu, which was a part of the overall menu, was a bit confusing, it did not state the chicken was what came with it for 12.50 and then all the other options were the ADDITIONAL cost , so even though I did not see the pork , sirloin or salmon , going by my plate it was not that much food for that much extra( up to $14.00 more) my garlic pepper ,broccoli chicken stir fry was good , but a major portion of the plate was uncooked Chinese cabbage , which I do like , but if it is going to be on my plate , at least stir fry it !! I had rice with mine and a salad , and the best thing was the peanut dressing. The crispy roll was more fried wrapper than any filling. So even though they have some interesting brunch items on Sunday , between how loud it was on a non crowded day and how long it took for food , I'm not sure if I...
