I dont know bout n e one else, but i kinda decide the quality of the mexican restaurant based on the quality of the chips. N they were fresh n hot n crispy. But i recommend they throw in a few fried flour tortilla chips. Those r the ones u dig in the basket n fight for. Lol The interior design of the restaurant is fancy. At first my thought was this is too much. But then i thought. U know wut. Sometimes u want a simple meal but u wanna feel fancy about it. Lol. I dug it after absorbing it for awhile. It has an in house bar n stools. Basic good quality liquors. Jack, patron, Hennessey ect.i could see myself hitting this place up in the evening. The food is the usual basic taqueria breakfast quality, BUT... I love how they served it in fancy plates. Makes me feel special. Lol The lemonade was deicious. Didnt taste like lemon sugar water. But i wish the tortillas were fluffier. The service was super friendly n helpful. I love the fact that not just my waitress helped me but other waitresses passing by also asked if i needed n e thing. They didnt have the mentality of " thats not my table". The atmosphere seems more for seasoned individulas. Didnt see alot of youths here. Im guessing cuz of the location. Looks like a hidden trove. U dont expect much on the outside but it was a treat on the inside. Food was good, service was excellent, experience was comfortable. I am new to Corpus, here in bussines and stumbled with Chapala Grill Sunday Morning around 9:30. (Sunday They open at 7 am till 2:30) Karen took care of me a real professional constantly attentive to me and everyone else! This place has a huge variety of hearty meals at a very reasonable price. Sunday Mexican Brunch if you will, service is Amazing you have in less than 7 min 6 different people asking if you need anything coffee cup always full! If you like great service this place is top notch! I had plate #5 chicken fajita nopales skewered grilled shrimp sliced potatoes, Queso frito grilled green onion.
