I went to this restaurant tonight as we often do for breakfast lunch and dinner. I have never had any issues in the past however tonight the fajita plate was extremely dry chicken. I brought this to the servers attention and she went to the manager. The manager Andrea came to our table asking what was wrong with the food, I proceeded to tell her and from what I understood she was taking it off the bill. She asked if I wanted them to remake it I said no as my family was already done since the server did not come back to our table to check on us. We got the bill and my husband just put out the card assuming all was well and checked us out. I then looked at the bill and noticed the fajita was still on it. I stopped the manager and said I’m sorry I noticed this is still on the bill. She then says, “Yes that’s what I told you, I’m not taking it off that’s why I asked if you want me to remake it”. I was so confused and said ok well then remake it I misunderstood you. She then says well I put it in the trash already. So I guess they weren’t going to actually remake it and just box up the food I said I didn’t like. I say so you were just going to box that plate? Well that’s what you ordered, She then says well if you want I can remake it. I said you know what don’t even worry about it I’ll call in the morning and speak with the owner. I then ask what the name of the owner is and when will they be in. This manager Andrea then says “ I can’t give you names, if you want to call go right ahead”. I let her know that I bring clients into her restaurant 3-4’times a week and that will not happen again. Since when do restaurants not remove plates form the bill that are not even touched and then not provide any names of managers. The whole time I kept a calm tone and she had a smirk on her face the whole time. She was very unprofessional about the situation. As I was walking out some of the servers came to her and I could see through the mirror they begin to laugh about it. I hate to say it’s a race thing but it sure felt like it. Discrimination is real and she had no shame in making that very clear. My business may just be a very small contribution to this place but they for sure will never get any of my business for my family and client meetings. Side note- It’s also crazy that I have been trying to get ahold of an owner for 3 days now and haven’t had anyone call as I have left my number requesting a call or even message me back on social media to discuss the issues. Shows where these managers on duty get there bad attitudes from. I messaged this page and can see that it was read but no response. I have stopped by the restaurant asking for the owners and they say oh come later. It’s amazing how unprofessional this...
Read moreMy family and I have always enjoyed going to this Jalisco restaurant. The staff is very friendly, and the service is excellent. However, I don’t think we will be returning soon because, over the last few months, being in there has become uncomfortable and unbearable because of how HOT it is. We no longer enjoy our meal or time sitting together because the restaurant is hot and sometimes humid. I once saw the thermostat, and it read 79 degrees. That is unacceptable in South Texas. When we bring it up to the staff/servers, they just smile and shrug their shoulders. Once even being told that the owner keeps it warm and they’ve just gotten used to it. A few weeks ago, we attended a live music night, and the entire night was sweltering. I even heard the table behind us ask if the AC was broken. I understand the owner might want to save on electricity; however, making the customers feel comfortable is part of the owner's responsibility. Again, this has happened every time during our last visits. Even the wait staff looks uncomfortable, red, flustered, and sweaty; that is not a good look and can discourage an appetite. My only other thought is that the owner does it to make people eat quickly and leave ASAP. Whatever the reason, as a faithful customer, I believe this issue should be corrected. Until then, my family and I will no longer enjoy our meals there. We even decided not to attend tonight’s live music, which is a shame because last time, we enjoyed the music, just not the...
Read moreI recently had a truly unpleasant experience at Taqueria Jalisco on Cimarron Blvd while grabbing a quick bite on my way to work. I ordered two tacos from the drive-through and was disappointed to find a hair in my food. To my dismay, my dad, who had the second taco, found a hair in his as well. When he went to return to the restaurant to seek a refund, we were met with confusion and misinformation. The staff insisted that we had paid $16 instead of what we paid which was $17 claiming that a card payment would have resulted in the higher charge. However, we had paid cash, and the receipt was not provided to us initially. To further compound the issue, when questioned about whether the kitchen staff wore hair nets, the employee responded affirmatively. However, the presence of hair in both my dad's and my tacos suggests otherwise. I strongly advise potential customers to be cautious when ordering from Taqueria Jalisco on Cimarron Blvd. It is essential to carefully inspect your food before consuming it, as it appears that proper hygiene practices may not be consistently followed. Additionally, always request a receipt and verify that you are being charged the correct amount, especially when...
