I just wanted to respond to some of your reviews... the reason why your cakes were dry, is because Janet's bakes "extra cakes" daily, and stores them for UP TO A MONTH, wrapped in saran wrap in the walk-in REFRIGERATOR(Not freezer)... yes, they are doublewrapped...but still! A month?! This is where your "last minute cakes" are coming from, which is why they are terribly dry and get so many complaints. Do you really believe they're baking, cooling, AND decorating you a fresh cake within hours? Absolutely not. If something is dropped on the floor, such as a cupcake or petit four, they simply say "5 second rule!" Or "I didn't see a thing!", pick it up, slap some icing on it, and serve it to you anyway. If you look up bakery tax laws, they do not get to claim their "waste" for refund, like most restaurants do. They openly tell their employees this... I know from experience. Also, the floor has never been swept ONE TIME in the four months I worked there. Last but not least, if you are trying to tip the EMPLOYEE WHO HELPED YOU, (and earned that tip) save your money! When you leave, the lovely manager comes and takes said tip and it goes back to the owner because "he buys the food" for the bakery, which are frozen corn dogs, some microwaveable meals, as we work until 4 am sometimes, so those are an option. I ordered a fresh strawberry with whipped cream frosting white cake for a birthday. They don't give you fresh strawberries. They give you this gloppy jellied frozen strawberry mess and call it fresh.
The frosting was inedible. It wasn't whipped cream. It was a cross between fondant and buttercream. No one could eat the frosting.
It was supposed to be a white cake and instead it was yellow. The owner said it's because they use a whole egg. Which means they have no idea how to make a white cake.
I had a friend pick up the cake while I was making the arrangements for the birthday party. Otherwise I would have had to go on to HEB grocery store and getting much better cake for half the price. I had to pay $54 for an 8 in double layer cake

But NOPE!!!!!!! Went into the bakery and the people were so rude right from the jump they are like Well you have to bring that cake top in, canāt do it exactly like that, then asked for the date. So when I told her when I needed it she hesitated like she didnāt want to do it. Then on the cookies I asked if they could something similar to the picture I brought in. Sheās like we donāt have those cookie cutters. So I proceeded to ask if there was something close to it and she just stares at the picture with hesitation then told me well we can do this ONE. Out of 7 images she could only do ONE!!! Her demeanor and her attitude was so rude and obnoxious.
