I always get cakes here for my child's birthday.they never disappoint & the tase is amazing 🤩 very light , fluffy and everybody loves it. They wanted a FNAF theme caked they couldn't do the actual characters cus legal reasons but where more than helpful to find a design that would work. It came out perfectly after I bought the toys myself later that day. My partner who actually doesn't even like that much cake ate 4 slices 😲 and the Brithday kid couldn't have enough . honestly we should have ordered a bigger one cus everyone loved it.i do only have one issue the shop .It's is a touch dated but understandably they have been in business for a while but putting forth quality products before a flashy store front with bells & whistles but food is trash *cough Walmart bakery cough*.all and all highly recommend

I just got married, and Janet's Cakery made me a BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS carrot cake for my special day. It was a Solar Eclipse wedding, and my cake matched the event. The cake topper was my husband's doing. You can't see in the picture, but the top of the cake has an eclipse painted in the frosting. They were reliable, informative, and were 0 stress to work with (important for wedding planning). I've worked many years in kitchens so really appreciated their work, and customer service. If I didn't live around Dallas I'd use them for all kinds of things. Thank you everyone who helpped with my cakes :)

I would highly recommend going somewhere else if you are looking for something modern as far as the decorating is concerned. The cake itself was great but the way our wedding cake was decorated was hideous and did not even make our album because we were so unhappy with it. Before ordering we showed them the picture of what we wanted to make sure they could decorate exactly like that and the decorator swore up and down she could and even said she had square brushes to do it like the picture so we placed our order. When we opened up the box for our cake at dinner I was so furious at how it looked because they guaranteed that they could do it exactly like the picture and of course they didn’t. This might be the kind of place for old fashioned decorations but even then I wouldn’t trust them to do that either! Save your money and go to another bakery especially if it’s your wedding day!

My darling, sweet Husband surprised me by ordering my birthday cake this year from Janet's. And while it was a beautiful cake, the flavor just wasn't there. He requested a pina colada cake. There was pineapple in the icing, but it was SO SWEET we scraped most of it off. It seemed just like pure sugar! The sponge had coconut in it, which was nice, but other than that didn't have much flavor. And then I came across the receipt! Wow! I had no idea how much it cost! While it was such a wonderful gesture from my Husband, we won't be doing that again. Also for the price, they shouldn't require you to return their cracked, duct taped stands to get the deposit back.

I am truly disappointed in our graduation cookies. Everyone at the party agreed, it looked like a 3rd grader drew the circles around the logo. I am shocked Janet's quality control person (not sure there is such a person?) would have allowed this box to be released from the store with the cookies looking like that. Not only that, they were 3x(!) the price of the same-size cookies I ordered from HEB bakery - and the HEB cookies came out darling, btw. Oh - and we did a blind taste test and Janet's cookies came in second for taste too. Save yourself the cash and embarassment, and buy your cookies elsewhere.

We ordered my son's birthday cake from Janet's Cakery. It was so yummy and decorated very cute. We ordered a marble cake with vanilla buttercream icing. I'm normally not big on icing but their icing was delicious. The cake was moist and marbled beautifully. We loved the cake decorations and you could tell a lot of time was spent doing them. We will definitely be ordering more cakes from here. The cake was somewhat expensive but worth every penny. Also, the cake was ready when we arrived to pickup and everyone was very friendly.
