Ordered the BBQ PO BOY, fries and a drink. Paid 13 and change, which to me seemed reasonable. Staff was friendly and when I went to wash my hands in the bathroom it smelled and looked super clean. The place as a whole was super clean and tables spaced out. The meat in the sandwich itself was barely warm. I can see how people who like their food hot mentioned it was cold altogether. The fries were at a perfect temperature. I definitely feel the sandwich has to have the BBQ sauce poured or dipped into as the meats tasted bland without it. It wasn't terrible, but certainly could use some more taste. Giving you 4 stars overall with alot of respect for making the experience feel safe with spacing and constant cleaning. The portion size was a little less than I would have expected for the sandwich as well, but I will come back and try...
Read moreThere was a huge party going on in the back ,but you would have never known it , the service was very good and we got our food in a timely manner. I think they were holding my food until my husband's was ready because my French fries were cold , but they gave me a fresh order that was hot. I had a Chicken Fried Steak it was very good, and I appreciate that they have a smaller one that is not the size of a dinner plate. I also had a side of fried okra that was hot and crispy. However, for a southern restaurant that asks, cream gravy or brown gravy , they have no concept of cream gravy( which I have been eating and making for over 50 years) it is more a yellow chicken gravy and if I was not from the south, I would be happy. I split a piece of carrot cake with my husband that was delicious and moist, and the frosting was not...

For the prices charged, I was expecting much better quality. I ordered the Salmon Filet with fries and Broccoli as sides after I was immediately told mashed potatoes were not available (other reviews have said the same about the lack of mashed). The salmon was small, very dry and flavorless, certainly not fresh. Definitely NOT worth the $14 price tag. The best thing on the plate were the fries. My guess is that the fries were not made in-house.
My dining partner had the Chicken Fried Steak with (canned) liquidy, green beans and fries. The breading on the chicken fried steak just slithered off the meat and later caused gastrinal distress. We both agreed that the fries were probably the only items worth eating. Hard to mess up fries, but again, my guess is they weren't made fresh or in-house.
ONE star...
