Absolutely inept management and employees working the morning of Saturday, May 28, 2022 at about 10:30am. Both drive-thru lanes were open but, evidently, they didn't have anyone available to collect payment/bring out orders for the 2nd drive-thru lane. Instead, after you placed your order (and not before when you could have gotten out of line) they told you to merge into the first lane. Well, you know how people just love to let others merge into their lane when driving (sarcasm intended) so you can imagine how well that went over in a drive-thru lane. Not one car in the first lane would let anyone merge in. There were two trucks in front me trying to merge but with no luck. From my car I called the store to ask if they could send someone out to at least help us merge in but the man who answered said, no, they didn't have anyone, that they were just too busy to spare anyone. I told him they should at least send someone out to close off the 2nd lane to prevent more cars from backing up the lane but, again no, they were just too busy to spare anyone. Too busy to spare someone for what would have taken a minute or two to come close off the lane and help those of us stuck to merge in? Finally the two trucks in front of me just drove off and I did the same once the lane was clear. It was a good thing they had not collected our payment up front. So, they will have just wasted all of the food that we had ordered and lost those sales. Avoid this location at all costs, especially the drive-thru. The inept manager working this morning should be demoted and written up. They are obviously incapable of critical thinking and planning skills and should be in no position of leadership or...
Read moreI have to agree with the rest of the lowest reviews, I had the same experience with drive thru the other night. Took my granddaughter after she got out of work to get a chicken tenders meal. There were two cars in front of us, the one in front was given their order but the one in front of that one was still waiting. They must have been waiting there for awhile because they were already waiting when we got there. Drive thru asked me to move forward so they could help the other customers behind me. Four other cars came and went behind us and still no order for my granddaughter. When the employee finally came out with the order I told him, really it took 25 minutes to make 3 chicken tenders. He then said it's fresh, so what was he saying, that everything else they make at that place is old food. I then asked for the manager because we didn't get our receipt so we could do a review. The manager then came out and handed me the receipt and said I'm sorry in which I replied no your not. If she had been sorry she could have given my granddaughter her money back and had her keep the meal. I spoken to other friends who have mentioned that they won't go to that Whataburger because they have had similar experiences of waiting to long or getting the wrong order. Whataburger has gone downhill ever since the family sold the company. When it comes down to it is that companies don't care anymore about how many customers receive bad service as long as they are making money from the rest of the people who don't mind getting bad service. What these businesses have to understand is that they should expect customers to get angry if they give...
Read more000 filthy dirty. Don't eat here. Back to this Sumner 2024, when I was homeless after being illegally evicted, (landlord was fired, and I pressed charges of Elder abuse), my goal everyday was to get justice for the disabled, elderly, and as I fought for survival each day that eventually turned into 11 months. I had to depend on fast food places to wash up, freshen up, get out of the harsh elements, thugs looking for a victim. Stay away from anyone who was sick. This Whataburger was a nightmare every time I went in to eat, relax, rest from cruelty, only to be called out in front of 'civilized customers judged by 'they came in a car. ' Homelessness here was unbearable. I played by the rules: to charge my phone I had to eat there, free coffee for the senior citizen, only allowed to be in inside 1 hour a day, almost always I was confronted by something like, did that customer offer to pay for your lunch? If so, we don't let your kind eat here. Etc. Two grown men acting a fool, a cashier with an UGLY demeanor, making sure everyone knew I was homeless. Now. I lived for 6 years behind this Whataburger, when my husband of 38 years suddenly passed away from COVID 19. Not too long after struggling with local SSA for Widow's Benefits, a no-brainer that quickly turned into a tailspin of convoluted lost documents, which is impossible after a swift 30 second illegal eviction. This place out of all the local places to get a bite to eat was filthy. Don't forget about I was a revered regular customer, my husband went almost every morning for coffee. Turned against me like a snake...
