Call-in Order 1st time having to write a negative review. Wish I could give 0 stars. I have been ordering my Italian food exclusively from Cafe Italia for over 4 years and I have never experienced such disrespectful service. The food is always amazing so no complaint on that. Except tonite I must have ordered too late. 8:45pm When I called I asked multiple questions, which the person answering struggled with a little. (Manager - claimed to be standing next to the person at the time of call) I ordered 2 plates that we eat every time. Added ex sauce and was asked which salads I wanted. (No soup available) I chose 1 Ranch and 1 Caeser with no mention of any up charge for Caeser. Im not cheap by any means, but courtesy is to mention that there is an up charge since my Caeser was $2 ex and we really never eat the salads. I might have changed my mind to a house salad. But at least offer that information. I also ordered a Bolognese plate. I asked for a kids and I was told they don't make that in kids, but they do have an 8.99 plate and a 12.99. I chose the smaller. As my order was repeated I corrected the person several times because my order was wrong. Manager would have heard corrections if she was standing there as she claimed. I showed up for pick up, and restaraunt looked closed at 9:30pm with the chairs up, and several servers waiting to leave. (My food was spread out on multiple tables.) My total seemed higher than normal and I actually ordered less than I usually do so I asked questions about my bill. Manager or Owners Daughter as she stated, seemed irritated that I was questioning and broke down bill very rudely while speaking to me like I was uneducated. My energy will match the energy that is thrown towards me and my voice matched hers. I continued on with my bill questions. At this point the 3 female servers stood up, walked to the register counter and started talking AT me which of course is going to raise the energy even more. I believe one told me "Caeser salad has a diff lettuce in it, that's why!" and rolled her eyes at me. I explained that no one was even speaking to them and turned attention back to my bill and the manager. I handed her my card and stated that I couldn't believe the treatment. The main waitress that kept escalating things yelled "You can just leave" and told me that I was being rude. Really!!! For asking questions on my bill! And told that if I had specific questions maybe I should have come in to the restaurant and ordered. Wow! Delivery, call in and pick up are all ordering methods for the convenience of those that can't come in for whatever reason. I paid because I'm not disrespectful like that, my family was waiting and my food was already made. The same waitress that was yelling at me followed me to the door as I was walking out. Thats a pretty threatening gesture after all the verbal attacks. Lucky I am not that type because I could have contacted police for that matter. Three servers yelling at me and the worst one follows me to the door, unprovoked is definitely not professional. Hope there are cameras for owner to see how this was handled. One male server helped me carry my food out, dropped it, but that was fine. Because honestly he was the best part of the visit. He was very polite and apologized to me. I looked back and the same server that followed me out was behind the door now, smiling sarcastically and telling me bye. Disgusting behavior. "Manager" could have de-escalated the situation by controlling her staff. I was a server for many years and also a business owner now. This type of treatment would never be tolerated towards anyone. Maybe they were just ready to close but no matter what... TREAT YOUR LAST GUEST JUST LIKE YOU TREAT YOUR FIRST. I will ensure we never use this place for corporate events again, if that is the treatment and service that is tolerated.

Ordered: 2 Chicken Forest (pd for ex sauce) 1 Chicken Alfredo (pd for ex sauce) 1 sm Ziti Bolognese 1 18" 1/2 cheese 1/ pepp 1 Baked Meatballs 6 Rolls 1...

If I could give 10 Stars I would!!! If you have not been here yet, you need to go. (I hate to make good reviews in fear I won't get a table) BUT..... if this place gets too crowded I hope the owners will make room for me based on my review??? (Disclaimer: I'm born and raised in NY and biased about Italian restaurants.)

So, the exterior of the building is a bit of a frown face. Neighboring store fronts are not contributing to you wanting to even park there. Don't worry. Do it anyway.

Walk in. The aroma of garlic is heaven. What's better? Oh yea, the music playing is one of my favorite Frank Sinatra songs. Already, I'm in a good mood.

Menu has great variety of choices. Our server was amazing, and sorry I did not get his name. The food pacing was good (meaning they did not put your appetizer/food/meal on the table at the same minute.) Flavor was amazing. Pricing was great. Good selection of beer and wine.

This deserves its own paragraph: in TX Italian Restaurants skimp out on bread and it's a huge detriment. Not here! WE LOVED the bread.

We did not get dessert because I had a special custom cake ordered for our anniversary at home.

One of my new things is to order a "To-Go" pizza to see how good the Italian restaurant really is. I could do backflips over how awesome this pizza was. It was literally only a 2 topping large, and as I bagged it up to freeze as leftovers, I ate more than I would like to admit.

I've already told tons of friends... this is my new favorite Italian. Thank you for making our...

The meals we ate at way too much garlic didn't even finish half a plate, manager refused to give us any kind of discount I do not recommend this place at all they have bad customer service the manager was very unprofessional and the food had way too much garlic and the waiter had to be called in order to come to our table for any reason would not stop by just to check if everything was okay, whoever owns this place you need a different manager, over all I give this place a NEGATIVE 3 STARS, WE PAID OVER $50FOR SOMETHING WE DID NOT EAT, THAT MANAGER WAS RUDE! We did like the appetizer and we were still willing to try your pizzas but Laura (manager) does not know how to keep a customer to keep coming back, she simply said ''we cant satisfy everyone's taste'', which I thought was rude, so this message is for the owner. -⭐⭐⭐ bad customer service and this was our 1st time there. Note: we did have to go and get some stomach relief from the store because of this meal. I was so upset at her I didn't get my cannoli. 🥺 My sincere apology for having to write such a review but you do need to realize what kind of customer service you have going on there, I was looking forward to going back, like I said I enjoyed the appetizer and we were going to try your pizza but this was wrong of Laura, it was embarrassing. Mind you we turned down other Italian restaurants so we can try your place. -------------------------------Update: owner did not even bother to make things good for us. 2-20-25 You all are SORRY...

OMG! What an amazing place. This is tucked away and easy to miss, but DON’T! Came here for lunch on a Sunday. Our server Mariah greeted us and sat us right away. Her service was so pleasant, very timely, and super informative. We had fried cheese (of course) and Florentine soup to start. The fried cheese had an almost never ending cheese pull to indicate fresh cheese and not frozen. The Florentine soup was subtle yet delicious. I took Mariah’s suggestion and had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Loaded with steak and for the first time here in CC I could actually taste the green peppers, mushrooms along with the steak. Again, indicating the freshness of the ingredients! My wife had the Shrimp Diablo. The pasta was a perfect al dente (as they make the pasta and all breads) in house! The sauce was just spicy enough with a wonderful blend of tomato and spices not to overwhelm the large succulent shrimp in the dish. For dessert, a delicious cannoli. Not too sweet and with a perfect thick and crunchy shell! Please come here! Take my word for it, this is a real Italian joint. I know because I grew up in an Italian neighborhood in New York! Thank you Cafe Italia and thank you Mariah!

I've heard of this place and have been wanting to try it. The atmosphere was basic but nothing to complain about. Staff was attentive. Food was a problem. My daughter ordered the tortellini, and I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. My daughter's food was topped with a hot flavorful sauce, but the pasta was cold in the center, as if cooked, then left out until needed and then topped with a hot sauce. My chicken parmesan was warm to hot, but the breaded chicken breast was paper thin, dry, and almost chewy. I understand that some places pound the chicken with a hammer to tenderize, but it looked like it was flattened with a rolling pin. It was thin enough to fit between the prongs of my fork. I have heard good things about this place and hope it was just bad timing for us to have the food we did. We pushed the plates aside after a bite or two and asked for the check. The waiter was understanding and removed the 2 plates off our check. What could have been a $50 check dropped to about $20 so I left a $10 tip. I hope to try them again one day and see that it was just a bad day, because everyone has a bad day sometimes.
