The atmosphere is great. Clean and cozy with clean bathrooms. The complimentary salsa and chips are really good. The service was friendly but not attentive at all. It wasn't busy either so I'm unsure of why the waitress asked once to take our order then never came back. Another gentleman took our order about 10 minutes later. They didn't take long once the order was in. But our table had been waiting on water refills the entire time. The tacos are street tacos so they're small at just under $2 a taco. However they do pack them well. The plates were very budget friendly. With a family of five our meal was $37.71. The food was ok. I don't know if I'd call it "authentic" but it was ok. The only real complaint I have is this. My bill was $37.71. But the dude turned the receipt when he handed it to my wife. She wondered why and immediately saw that after he saw we were paying with a card he snuck in $1.50 charge as "non cash." Very sneaky and there were no notices posted anywhere informing us of the charge. That one act of dishonesty will be the reason we don't stop again when passing through. I didn't even mind the charge. But not being told about...
Read moreWent this past weekend for lunch for the first time. Was ok, nothing like everyone is raving about. We both had beef fajitas and the portions were small- no one's being fooled when the beef is spread out and covered with onions and peppers. It was not enough proteins for what they charge. We asked for chips/salsa and watched the waitress go to the display at front of bakery and grab a bag of chips for us- they sure weren't hot or fresh, bland with no salt. The beans and rice are average but the red and green salsa is good. We asked for queso and was given one of those small white bowls half-filled... ridiculous. The soda is bottled, something they didn't mention so no refills unless you want to buy another bottle. All in all, just an average place to eat, at least for what we had. We could have had steak dinners elsewhere for the 40 bucks spent here on...
Read moreThis our FAVORITE place to get authentic Mexican food, my boyfriend and I go religiously at least once a week. The restaurant is a little hard to find, but once you know where it’s at, you’ll come back again and again. They never disappoint! The staff is friendly, and remembers us as repeat customers. (That says so much!) First off, best Horchata in town. You can tell they really make it themselves without a mix or anything. I always get a breakfast burrito, they serve breakfast all day. My boyfriend gets tacos, a torta, sometimes enchiladas. All meals are served with chips and salsa. Did I mention this place is a Tortilleria, so all of their tortillas are made fresh there, and they use those tortillas for the chips. I can’t say enough...
