My husband and I were in the Monroe Qdoba this morning (10:45am December 29th). I'm being specific in hopes of disiplenary action being taken. We came in for some quesidillas and nachos and were being helped by the female employee when the manager came over and took over the order from her; and by taking over the order I mean he practically shoved her out of the way and waved her off. She wasn't super slow (seemed new and bit methodical which we didn't mind) so we were a bit confused as to why he seemed to be taking over but we went with it. From there everything went down hill. The manager then proceeded to start throwing the food in the quesidillas quite sloppily and trying to hurry us along by skipping ingredients that we wanted and trying to just get us to be done which we didn't appreciate but we hadn't complained yet. Then he tossed (yes, literally, not an exaggeration) the quesidillas on the press and started the first cycle. Then he gets to the nachos where he completely skipped the beans and rice, didn't ask for what type of queso we wanted or even try and be polite at this point. Once he completed the nachos the first cycle of the quesidillas was done, so he went over to cut the quesidillas and then he slammed the press down for the second cycle which was again weird but we haven't complained. The manager continues to help us while the girl is off to the side doing small unnecessary tasks to avoid his ire (I assume). The manager preps our plates for the quesidillas (one with sour cream and guacamole, one without) and we try and tell him which quesidilla goes with which since we had slightly different orders but he is pretty much blowing us off at this point. The timer has going off for the quesidilla press and the cook from the back comes out to help but because the manager had slammed the press down one of the quesidillas is now burned to the top of the press so the cook throws the burnt parts away. The manager proceeds to barate the cook for throwing it away and shoos him back to the kitchen, but now half of the quesidilla is gone and it would have to be eaten with a fork. Instead of asking us if it's alright that he cook us a smaller tortilla to fix this issue he assumes we are ok with this (we were not). I speak up and ask that we get a new quesidilla because I didn't want a patch work one. He gives an exasported noise and just dumps the patch work quesidilla in the garbage and starts banging around to make another one, literally banging the pan and throwing stuff on this quesidilla even more sloppily than the first ones. Once this is all complete after having to remind him of several ingredients he forgot and tried to leave out we can finally leave with the food we ordered. I did not appreciate his attitude towards us nor the other employees, his preparation of our food, or his handling of the mishap. I did not see his name tag but he seriously needs to be reminded of customer service as well as kindness...
Read moreI'm first going to start by saying we love the food at Qdoba!!! It is always great! This was a bad experience though. I ordered food for my office through Door Dash, which I've already discussed issues with them. However, when we received our order, 2 of the 3 were incorrect and we were missing a chips and salsa/queso. I called about the discrepancies of the order and the manager was very rude and said, "Fine, I'll replace this one time but you have to come pick it up(which is fine with me)." Then she hung up on me. Today I went in and the same manager was there which I thought was great since I had talked to her. First off, she was very rude and snappy with the employees, and even in front of customers. Second, when she went to ring it up/cash it, she said, "I was there and your order was not wrong. I'll give it to you this time but dont think this is an all the time thing." She didnt apologize for the issue and just assumed we were trying to scam them for free food. Again, this is for an office.... Anyway, I hope the owner sees this because from past reviews, it looks like she is a big problem and I feel so sorry for the employees working with her. I work in customer service and there's no way I would even begin to think her words, or behavior was remotely appropriate nor acceptable. Again, we love the food but this lady was so...
Read moreI like QUDOBA'S food generally. I really liked it when I ate meat. Now that I'm vegan, though, it is very frustrating. Three times over a long period of time I've ordered a veggie bowl. All three times they are nearly out of grilled veggies. Does anyone ever get grilled vegetables?... because I sure don't! It appears that staff don't want to do that chore. ALL THREE TIMES, they scoop the few remaining veggie bits--a couple pieces of onion and pepper--onto my rice and beans, and stop. They don't offer to grill more, nor do they offer to compensate in some other way. I don't want the cheese, queso, or sour cream, then I ask for corn. They put one small scoop on the bowl, then move on to salsas. I had to ask for more corn and more grilled veggies. (There were still a few tiny pieces in the pan.) I was reluctantly given a little more corn, a couple more pieces of onion and pepper. IF I'M NOT EATING MEAT, CHEESE, SOUR CREAM, OR QUESO, I NEED SOME VEGGIES TO MAKE A VEGGIE BOWL! This is not a one-off mistake; it happens every time, and I'm going to quit trying. There are other places to get a good Mexican vegan bowl. And I'd give you no stars for service if I could. I note that a lot of people talk about how chintzy the folks at this location are with the ingredients. They...
