Garf's Sports Lounge — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

My waitress was busy when I first grabbed a table. (She cleaned up another table and was very nice and said I'll be with you in a minute). Then I waited for 5-10 minutes, another waitress came by and asked if I'd been served yet, I said no and she asked what beer I wanted. Got beer, so good so far (places need to clean and get busy at different times). I order food. Worst fries ever. Seriously I thought they were just warm potatoes. Then my waitress sat with another patron for 20 minutes (mind you literally two tables away). I finished my beer about the five minutes in and waited as she flirted with the other customer. After ten minutes I went to the bar. Got another beer from the bar (not from her). Ten minutes after she left that table she noticed, oh did u go to the bar? I say yes... "Oh sorry". The service earns it one star. Three times I’ve come on separate occasions with different people and every time we have paid only to have the waitress come back and ask us to pay again? The first time was with cash and there was no way to prove we paid so we just paid double to avoid the threats of getting kicked out. The second time we had to show the waitress our bank app to prove we paid and weren’t lying like she said. This last time the waitress actually still had my husbands card on her and when we pointed that out she still asked for the name on the card to prove it and then when we did she came back and apologized but at this point after three times it feels like this might be a scam. My advice would be to not pay with cash ever so you can have a record of payment and not get scammed. It’s...

I tried to come here on my 30 min lunch break but the bartender was too busy helping all her regulars that she knew by name. Waited around 5 mins just to get a menu then while I was waiting to place my food order someone sat next to where I was standing and guess he was a regular because she knew his name as well and asked if he was drinking beer today. After she helped someone that just sat down l before me, I just left and wasted 10 mins of my lunch break.
