George's Cafe — Restaurant in Costa Mesa

Friendly service, good food, super convenient. They serve a full bar and intelligentsia coffee. The Google satellite images are old and don't reflect the newly constructed outdoor cafe/bar. Ask them to crank the outside heaters. Get the short rib grilled cheese with apricot preserves or the extremely good burger. Their menu is short but tasty and please note that breakfast ends at 10AM and lunch starts back at 11:30 - pastries served all day. Perfect for a lunch date or respite from the office/screen. The staff is friendly and location within the complex is great; next to performance stage for events. We ordered hamburgers with fries; good but not exceptional. The dining area is reserved for customers; signs indicating that are posted at entrances. Unfortunately during a recent program, "Grito," a group of non-customers took three of the best tables and brought there own food and wine (bottles). First and foremost a special shout-out for Freddy The Bartender. Great guy great Vibe and very friendly:-) I didn't know what to order so so that's what he recommended and he said the original George's Burger, it was absolutely delicious! Cook to a juicy medium.
