Read my other reviews.. I tend to write great reviews, but I live next to this place, wanted to like it.. really wanted to like it.... but it was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST MEAL I HAD IN YEARS.
First, drinks. I ordered directly from their menu. First I ordered the prosecco and was told they don't have it. I then ordered another sparkling white from their list, they didn't have that as well.
I ordered a martini from the martini list... they said they couldn't make it.. (3 different drink requests, are you kidding me?)
so I then ordered a pinot noir, FROM THEY'RE LIST AGAIN~! Didn't have it.
So I then said "red"? Do you have anything red?? ... finally I got my drink ordered filled.
I ordered the sliders and the wings. I took one bite of the sliders and nearly choked down the piece of meat into my napkin. I MEAN SERIOUSLY, when was the last time you had a slider that wasn't edible?????
Leave it to this place... The slider was cooked on something that tasted like the oldest FISH in the entire sea.... GOD FORBID MY SLIDER TASTED THAT ROTTEN FROM FISH... I can only imagine what the fish must of tasted like.
Moving forward, I got the beat salad with blue cheese... PLEASE REALIZE THERE WASN'T ONE ONCE OF BLUE CHEESE ON THE PLATE.
Not one crumble, not one sauce, NOTHING.
Ohh well, the beats by themselves were pretty tasty.
The Wings.. were OK. I didn't vomit there and there wasn't anything missing from my plate but it was a basic dish... but isn't that true of sliders??
I had dessert.. GOT TO SAY THE DESSERT WAS REALLY GOOD.
I'd go back for dessert if it weren't for the threat of food poisoning.
WON'T EVER GO BACK.. NOT EVEN FOR A DRINK. They need to CANN EVERYONE WHO WORKS THERE and START FROM SCRATCH, or just burn the place down. I live within walking's distance from this place but I"ll walk the extra block to eat something edible from SCOTT's instead.
Gross.. GROSS GROSS...

We had family travelling from Vegas to Irvine last minute, and it had been too long since we'd seen my Aunt and Uncle. I looked on Open Table and Google for the best brunch spot and came across this Jem called ‘Silver Trumpet Restaurant’! I was lucky to be able to make reservations online and select a great table that is warm and comfy for my Uncle, who was recently diagnosed with Myelofibrosis. Our family reunion was lovely and emotional, and the service we received from James, the manager, and MaryAnn our excellent server (I hope I spelled her name correctly) was outstanding! They both made us feel very welcome and took excellent care of us. So attentive and wonderful, and such a lovely circular table with a lovely window view of the lake. Priceless!
Brunch was incredibly inexpensive and delicious, and the environment was festively decorated for the holidays. I adore this place and will absolutely return with family and friends!
But wait there’s more! The review is not yet finished. My mother asked us to snap a photo of herself seated at the piano, which we did, but she forgot her phone on the piano as we left and didn't discover it till the evening. Thankfully, James was still around to save the day, and he found it and made sure it was safe for me to pick up the next day.
I was astounded by how gorgeous the hotel lobby is when I returned the following day to pick up my moms phone at the front desk. Even the valet person was so kind to let us quickly park to get moms phone which took less than two minutes.
Silver Trumpet Restaurant team deserves nothing less than five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for everything, from our family's reservation to our overall dining experience and the super fast service in the hotel! There isn't a place to spend precious times with family and enjoy wonderful food.
Thank you Silver Trumpet Restaurant you’re greatly appreciated you are...
Read moreAfter I read many good review about this Restaurant/ Bar, I decided to give it a try for our early Valentine's Dinner, because I am traveling next week. I used to live across the street from it, so I am very familiar with the area and the Lakes Apartment. I called yesterday to make reservations, so when I arrived this evening , it was not full at all. Probably 2 party of 4 and 5 and us( two of us) Yes, the atmosphere was nice by the lake and the decor was any hotel restaurant can be. I decided to have pre fixe 3 course meal deal. The clamb chowder was not as I expected: not even1 bit of clamb, the potatoes puree, heavy cream. Two spoon that I can take. The server left my soup and gone for 20 mins. She did not come to ask how it taste or how it was. I passed my soup to my partner to try and his response was that not a clamb chowder. More like baby food. She bought out the rest of our dinner, my shrimp risotto was salty and the rice was under cooked. I was not happy and his grilled asparagus was too dried over cooked. Anyway she ( Recca) asked how the food. I said it was o.k not outstanding. He likes his scallops. 15 mins went by she returned to asked how was everything. I told her I am disappointed as the soup was not as I expected( badly) and how she disappeared on us after she brought out my soup. She said she did came back to asked ( after we eat our main course). At this point I am done dinning here. I rather write a review instead of argued with my server.
At the end she took two glass of wine off my bill as making up for bad soup and over grilled asparagus. Hey, I come here for good food/ outstanding service and a great dinning experience. I know what I need to pay when I order. I don't need comp. food. Over all 3 ☆ and bad attitude server. I would be more happy at my Mc Donnald burger with a friendly smile from the cashier. Definitely , no come back from me...
