Firstly, I love Dunkin Donuts. Listened to a podcast about them several years ago and it's a company I can really believe in. That said, this Council Bluffs location is awful. I mean, I dare you to try and have a good experience there. Not possible. IF they're not out of your favorite donuts, the staff will be bad. IF the staff is not bad, their credit card machine will be down. IF the credit card machine is working, the wait will be extreme. Cannot win there. You'll hear plenty of excuses. "We're extremely short staffed," "Our baker didn't show up", or "Our system is down. Do you have cash (at 5:30am)." I get it, but none of those things gets munchkins in my kid's bellies. I don't care about any of those issues. It's difficult being a business and trying to please customers. One suggestion I have is to stop arguing with your customers over your excuses. The nervous little gal who doesn't seem to do anything there, doesn't get it. I do not care about your staffing or your baker. I do care that my wife and kids get the donuts they want, and since you didn't have their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd options available, I'm not coming back. How's that for an argument? Lastly, tell the big guy who's at the front counter to wash his hands. Food service industry. The last thing I want is for gunk-under-the-fingernails guy to handle my strawberry sprinkle donut. It's gross and someone needs to say it. Wash them hands, bro. I've got a line into corporate to tell them my concerns. Unfortunately I don't know what they could do to turn me around on them. It's uncool because I really want to support this awesome American pillar of pastry excellence (when it's done right). Someone needs to get in there with the right "It's time to make the donuts" attitude and correct the ship. Until then, I'll get my donuts from...
Read moreWe ordered ahead on the road for drive through about 15 mins before we arrived at the location. First off the drive through line is one way with no option to leave once you’re in. We sat sat in the drive through line 20-30 mins. We had an appt to get to so I decided to just get out of the car and pick up our order inside. There was a line inside as well. I went to the mobile order pick up and saw my tag and asked if I could just grab my order, an employee said “oh we haven’t made that order yet.” I said, “I ordered this 45 mins ago.” Then proceeded to wait for my order to be made. While I was waiting the employee with face star tattoos and a face piercing practically yelled that I caught an attitude with her. She then proceeded to get into an argument with another customer yelling at her saying “if you don’t like the service you should get behind the counter and take orders yourself.” The woman she yelled at was being perfectly reasonable and more calm than the employee. This woman also claimed that they were understaffed, there were four people working, that I saw. I was a manager at Caribou for six years and we almost always had a team of only 2-3 people and we were able to get people in out in less than ten mins even with a line wrapped around the building. As a previous food industry worker, the behavior displayed and how these employees treated their customers was out of pocket and needs to be reviewed. It took another 10 mins for our drinks to be made. While waiting all four employees were just walking around aimlessly and not completing tasks. Again, I’m not a Karen I know what it’s like to work in the food industry, but the behavior displayed at this location was...
Read moreTried calling Dunkin Donuts last night just to find out if they had apple fritters. The phone rang and rang and rang. I know they wasn't busy because we were across the street at the car wash. I waited a few minutes and I called back and it just kept ringing. When we got done at the car wash we went across the street and parked. My husband went into Pizza Hut to get our pizza and I walked over to Dunkin' Donuts to see about the apple fritters. When I went inside there were two female employees over by the drive-thru playing around and joking. There was no customers inside and nobody in the Drive-Thru. So there was no reason why they couldn't answer the phone. I stood there for a moment waiting on someone to come over. After couple minutes, one of the girls finally came over. She wasn't friendly at all. She just looked at me. I asked her if they had any apple fritters, she looked to her left side where they have the donuts and stuff, looked back at me and with a snotty attitude said no we don't. I said do you have any donuts at all? And again with a snotty attitude and said no we don't. I said okay , thank you and I walked out. I don't know why she had an attitude with me but there was no reason to give me an attitude when I was being polite. And this ain't the first time this has happened at this...
