KFC — Restaurant in Council Bluffs

I rolled up to this fine establishment, ready to feast on some finger lickin good fried chicken, expecting a flavor explosion that would make the heavens sing. But instead? Instead, I was met with nothing. Nada. Zero. Zilch. Because, apparently, at this particular KFC, serving actual fried chicken is more of a suggestion than a promise.

Now, to the owner....if you’re a franchisee, I sincerely hope you’re paying attention. If you’ve noticed sales mysteriously dropping off after 7 PM, it’s not because people stopped craving crispy, golden, deep-fried joy. No, no. It’s because your employees are racing against the clock to shut down the fryers. "Sorry, we can’t make chicken, the fryers are cooling down." Oh? You mean the fryers you need to actually run your business? The ones that keep the doors open? Fascinating.

So let’s talk business hours. If you’re open until 10 PM but effectively stop serving at 8:30, let’s just be honest with the good people of this town. Maybe change your hours to reflect when customers can actually order food. Something like, “Fried Chicken Available Between 3 PM – 5 PM (If We Feel Like It).” That way, we know not to expect too much.

To my fellow fried chicken seekers: adjust your schedules accordingly. Plan ahead. Maybe take up meditation to suppress your rage. Because at this KFC, it’s not about when you want fried chicken, it’s about when they feel...

We had made an online order fairly late. (An hour before closing) and sent my husband to pick it up. Of course he didn’t check before getting home and they had forgotten a whole combo meal. I called as soon as I realized and they didn’t answer. Which i understand I wouldn’t have expected them to fix it since it was already 20 mins till closing. The real issue is I’ve called today to try to get it fixed and no one answers. At the very least I just wanted my money back. Since we didn’t receive our $8 combo. Can’t fix the fact that I had an upset kiddo and had to share my meal with them. Our food over was average. We had gotten no sauces for tenders, no butter or honey for biscuits. We got the barely got the bare minimum. Our chicken was about room temp, our biscuits over cooked and not warm, the sides. Those were okay we got the Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and those were perfect. So I’m giving two stars because for what we did get it was ready fairly quickly, and our sides were at least right. I took away three stars because of lack of communication, missing items, and the quality of half of what we did receive. The over all price isn’t bad either especially if you sign up for...

I was at the kfc at mall of the bluffs yesterday. I walked in the door at 5 pm a young man said I will be with you in a second. I said fine 11 minutes later I asked the gal taking drive thru orders if I need to go out and go thru the drive thru. She said the people in the driver thru were there before me . I told her the young man told me he would be right with me . I told her I had waited 11 minutes . I asked her if it would be faster to go out and drive thru she told the young to wait on me. I asked for 12 pieces of chicken only. he then told me it would be 25 minutes. So I left and drove to the other kfc in town and was served right away. I can not believe at 5 o'clock that you would not have chicken ready to go for people getting off work. I can tell u I will not step foot in that story...
