If I could give this place no stars, I would.
First of all, I came here with my great-grandmother to have a relaxing dinner before she went home for the night. We walked in, and my first impression of the two young men standing there, chatting away while we waited to be seated was below sub-par. The man who sat us down was a very curt, person of few words, who showed us to our seat and left without saying a word. No, "Your server will be with you shortly", or "Enjoy your meal", nothing.
Then the waiter comes up and politely asks us what we would like to drink. "Finally!' I thought, 'Some proper service!' We didn't get our drinks for over 10 minutes. My great-grandma and I decided on our food, and since she had eaten an hour before, she wanted hers to-go so she could enjoy it at home. When she told our waiter this, he looked at her with disgust and made a heavy sigh before asking what I wanted. I was explaining what kind of burger I wanted, when he rudely interrupted me and said "So you just want a plain cheeseburger, is that it?" I was so taken aback by this, I quietly replied "Well this burger has bacon on it..." To which he quickly and even more rudely said "I'll just put two pieces of bacon on it. And you don't want anything healthy on the burger huh?" And without another word, took our menus and walked away.
Now, my great-grandma is nearly deaf, she couldn't hear how he was speaking to us, but I decided that I didn't want to ruin the evening and instead made polite conversation with her. During this however, I couldn't help but see that the man who seated us before and another young man were sitting there, blabbing and talking away while a full line of customers made it's way into the restaurant! They quietly fought over who had to seat the people, and only scrambled to make tracks when a manager passes by them. After which, they returned to more talking instead of working. A third young man approached them and began chatting away with them as well, and a fourth person, a young girl walked up to the third man. He, and very indecently I might add, wrapped his arms around her waist and began hugging her and even kissed her! Here's the problem. THEY ALL HAD UNIFORMS AND WORKED THERE!
When we finally received our food, it was from a different young lady who quickly set our food down, and didn't bother to say "Enjoy your meal" before hurrying away. I loved the fries, but I had asked for a well done burger. This one was still very pink inside and I was utterly disgusted. I couldn't even finish half of my meal!
The waiter finally came back around and set our check down. I didn't believe this man, or any of the other people we encountered here deserved a tip, but I very generous left a $5 dollar bill for him. When he came back to take it, I was sure to mention "Hey, I'm paying with my debit card and the tip is in there for you." So there wouldn't be a mistake. This guy looks right at me, and doesn't say "Thank you!", show any gratitude at all, NOTHING! He just very curtly says, "K." and walks off. By now, I'm down right mortified by this utter lack of and disregard for manners and I want to leave! When he gave me back the check he didn't ask us if we wanted dessert or needed anything else, he just left.
I got up and helped my great- grandma up as we headed for the door. The four people at the front, the two "boys" busy talking, the third young man and his "apparent girlfriend" all stared and watched as we left. No "Have a good night!" or "Enjoy the rest of your evening!", NOTHING! Only one nice lady, a different waitress we never saw before politely held the door open for my grandma!
Case in point? WE WILL NEVER BE RETURNING TO THIS RESTAURANT! Everyone here is extremely rude, and obviously the district manager needs to step in and do something about it. I will be taking this all the way up to...
Read moreIt was 8/19/2020. Our wedding anniversary . I asked my wife where she wanted to go an eat. She said Applebees. I did give her other options. It still was Applebees. So we went. So with covid still around we were asked to give a number n name an were told about 15 minutes. We said OK. Well long story short 15 turned into 45 min. I went in to check an hostess said the text thing wasn't working an said she couldn't find us. So I said we'll then we get next table booth right n she said yes. Well we waited in lobby thinkin we were next an they sent 2 other patrons ahead of us after waiting all that time. Unfortunately my wife was very upset with this. She asked to speak to a manager an he came an she explained what happened . He did what I would've done if a customer wasn't satisfied.. Rectify it.. An he did an then some. Not only did he get us seated asap, he also bless us with whatever we wanted from the menu on him! We said he didn't have to but he insisted. My wife felt terrible about getting upset with the hostess an wanted to not only apologize but bless her with a financial gift which she asked of me. I obliged. The manager told the hostess how bad my wife felt an we hope that's it was heart felt. We also made sure the waiter was well taken care of. That manager made sure we had a happy wedding anniversary an we did because of him an the people that work for him. He runs a great franchise. Thank you very much guys! James n...
Read moreWe, my wife and I, went today for an early lunch. We ordered Boneless fried chicken nuggets with a garlic (?) Sauce. We do not recommend it. I have no idea what the sauce is. It was horrible tasted kind of like helicopter fuel mixed with a lot of garlic. Then ordered boneless buffalo chicken bites/wings instead. They were awesome! My wife had French onion soup. She said it was good. We had club sandwiches with fries. Don't recommend them either. Only 2 slices of bread, not 3. Not a lot of meat and some sort of unidentifiable cheese. It was obviously heated, really ruined the lettuce and tomatoes. Club sandwich is supposed to be served fresh and cold. Definitely could have used more than the small amount of bacon that was on it...never heard of heating a club sandwich before, but it made it the worst club sandwich known to mankind. But the fries were good. Our server was acceptable. We know it is not her fault. Gave 3 stars for the Buffalo Chicken, French Onion Soup, and server. The place was not packed. Makes me wonder what the food would have been like if it was busy..We may actually possibly go again some day for happy hour, the drinks...
