Update to below disaster. Talked to another assistant manager who gave me better information. Basically everything first one told me was wrong. Definately made more sense. Also they were very nice and apologized for the trouble and definately went out of their way to make amends for their error. In the end i was happy with their service. Their night manager who i will not name because i don't want to shame her... needs some more training.
Went to BJ's , Center of New England , Coventry RI, to purchase a patio set today , checked on line to be sure they had them in stock! got there paid for it , then they tell us " it is up on a top deck in the warehouse and no one here can drive a fork lift to bring it down, you will have to come back to pick it up" What??? no one at the wholesale warehouse club can drive a fork lift? you cant be serious, well yes they were, I talked to the manager on duty who said, " they don't schedule anyone who drives a forklift Monday thru Wednesday because they usually don't have to move anything" again.. WHAT??? But they had no problem taking our money, so when i tell them that this is a huge problem, i had to have a family member with a truck meet me and i have other obligations , this was the only night i am free to pick it up, They looked at me like i just asked them to give me a kidney! so again they say " you can just come back tomorrow" well if i wasn't working, or didn't have to have help picking it up , maybe i could! so consider yourself warned Monday thru Wednesday if you need something and it nor right there in front of you , they might not be able to help you . I am so disappointed , why would anyone think that a warehouse club would deliberately NOT staff their store " because we usually don't have to move anything" Now I have to call the manager again tomorrow make sure the item gets brought down from the top deck and make all new arrangements , BJ's will you compensate me for your...
Read moreWhen it came time to renew my membership I was overcharged for a premium membership which I never authorized. My bank asked if I authorized the charge and I replied no. My debit card was cancelled. BJs did not not get my money. What BJs did next was to charge another card which I had used in the store back in May to buy pair of sneakers. I NEVER authorized BJs to us this account. BJs has fraudulently retained my debit card information and used it at their will. I will be reporting them for fraud and will be canceling that account with my bank. Watch out because when I did a Google search on this topic there was all kinds of complains from other members about the same issue. I will maintain a REGULAR membership as I enjoy shopping there however I will pay cash and either get a cash card for gas OR BJs will loose me as a gas customer. BEWARE of BJs retaining your bank...
Read moreThis location is the epitome of laziness, poor customer service and employees who have no regard for the shoppers. 8 lanes open if you want to do the work for them. The two girls behind the service desk that were entirely too busy with their phones to even lift their heads. Another worker spending more time staring into the locked cage rather than doing anything else. Then you have the floor workers who have no regard towards customers or manners. They block entire isles with some large cage dolly while he texts away and blocks the isle. Another worker flying around with a dolly making us avoid him instead of having manners and control. Then they have the audacity to have an elderly gentleman shucking carts in 96 degrees while the young ones do absolutely nothing in the AC. If this is how stores train workers or the lack of training was shocking. Such a...
