El Pueblo Restaurant — Restaurant in Covina

After going tonight I see why its never busy, where their service is quick the prices are a bit high for the food you get. We ordered a carne asada burrito which had very little asada in it then we got a 2 taco plate. The tacos were hard beef tacos now they had a good amount of beef in them but where extreamly greasy, like the oil wasn't hot enough when they fried them and the taco absorbed a lot of oil. If your hungry the plates are small so don't expect much beans and rice but for $7.99 I guess that's not bad. Oh and when you eat in but order a large drink they still charge for the large drink but give you one size cup which is not big at all. That is because they don't ask if your eating in or taking it to go at the counter until after you have ordered. Over all just really disappointed...

This place is a little hole in the wall restaurant. They seem to have their regulars, seating is very limited and if you go in with a family/party of around 6+ be prepared to get to know your party well, there will be no elbow room. The place is dimly lit, which I do not care to be in a dimly lit restaurant unless I'm at a fancy romantic restaurant with my husband. This place looks pretty run down and while we were there one of the 3 larger tables was being occupied by, what I assume, was one of the staff's children. It was a young boy around 7 or 8, he played quietly with toys by himself, but I felt horrible that he had to be there while mom/dad worked.
