Dollis - Breakfast Restaurant — Restaurant in Covina

Love Dollies!! We go there almost every week! I love variety and usually can't order the same thing twice much less visit the same restaurant more than once a month. But ever since we discovered this little gem, I have ordered the same thing EVERY SINGLE time we go there. I order their Dollies Special with 2 eggs over easy, 1 bacon, 1 sausage, a bowl of their fresh fruit, and zucchini bread. It's so incredibly delicious! Most restaurants say there are no substitutions, but Dollies always aims to please their customers. My only regret is they started closing at 1pm, instead of 2p. I know the restaurant business is very competitive, but I wonder if the owner is doing all he can to draw customers in. I never see Dollies advertised, no coupons issued, no frequent visitor cards, no specials posted on their restaurant windows, no Chef Specials, no flyers placed on car windshields in their little strip mall, no mailed flyers, no advertisements in city magazines announcing their business, no nothing. It's sad when customers notice. We LOVE our servers. They are SO sweet, friendly and efficient. I think they love it when it's busy because it keeps them busy and they're able to make a decent living. I would love to share this with the owner, but he probably doesn't pay much attention to reviews about his business. He might not see it as important. I know successful business pay attention to what their customers are saying. I just hope they don't close because for me, they're the best...

The restaurant is so focused on take out that the tables were set with prepackaged everything - I'm talking ketchup, salt, pepper, tapatio, Cholula, and syrup. This did not give much of a welcoming vibe.

The pancakes were some of the worst I ever had. They were thick and dense. They were not fluffy or airy like a typical pancake but heavy and dense.

After reviewing the photos I see that my pancake was SO DIFFERENT like it came from another restaurant. The ones in the photos look epic and the one I got looked manufactured fresh out of an easy bake oven.

The Dolli's breakfast - home fries were good, fresh red and green bell peppers. Eggs were cooked well. Sausage was what it typically is -just sausage.

I swapped my pancakes for toast and it was ok. How can toast be ok? They only buttered one side and the other was bone dry. I was over it and didn't want to spend another minute there because the experience was eh.

My boyfriend got the French toast and enjoyed it. He also got the supreme breakfast burrito and it was really good. The tater tots gave it a nice crunch. They offered salsa Verde with the burrito but I overheard the waitress telling someone else they have a red...

If I could leave no stars for this place I would. I placed a postmates pick up order and on the app it said the food was ready for pick up so I go pick it up. When I get there the waitress asks for my name 4x and I sit there and wait for 15-20min. I ask for an update on the food and the waitress says “they haven’t started the food so I don’t know how the app says the food is ready”. I ask her if it’s too late to cancel and she said no, “they haven’t started the food so go ahead and cancel it”. And so I do. When I check back on the app it says the restaurant charged me for the food. The waitress was super unhelpful and when I was at the restaurant asking for help she had an attitude and would go behind the counter to the other waiters and laugh and snicker. The customer can’t complete the order on the app themselves so how else would the order have been marked as ready for pick up?? Never ordering from this...
