Cactus Cones — Restaurant in Coweta

I drove 40 minutes from Tulsa in the heat and heavy traffic with a baby to get my son a snow cone on a special day for him. I give it one star because my son enjoyed his snowcone. I will not give it any more stars because of the experience I had. When I pulled up and the window opened, there was a strong cleaning supply smell that came out. When I went to drink my shaved ice, it literally tasted like the cleaning supply I had smelled. When I went to the window to let them know, instead of an apology and attempt to make it right, I was met with rudeness and defensiveness and a “refund” of three dollars tossed at me. MEH! The snowcones weren't terrible, but they did not live up to the hype, and they were very expensive. I've been curious about this place for about 3 years. We have never gone because it is a LONG drive for us; we live in Langley. We were visiting our daughter in Tulsa and wanted to do something different. We drove to Cactus Cones. First of all, the service is great! We tried them for the first time and our family had mixed reviews depending on what they got. The kids thought there was WAY too much syrup making it taste extremely strong for regular snow cones. I got a specialty one that tasted fantastic with whipped cream and soft serve in it.
