I think we can all agree that when hiring teenagers to work at a fast food place, we shouldn't place the expectations too high. Very rarely do you find the teenager who is a hard worker and takes pride in their work.
But -
If the franchise is running a special, in this case, buy two footlong subs and get one footlong free, I would think that would be honored. Turns out, at the Route 228 Subway located near the TCBY yogurt store, the employees decide who gets the free footlongs.
My son went for us to get the subs, as we has a total of four subs we wanted to get, thinking that we would only have to pay for three in total.
My son placed the order and when the total came up, it was more that what he was expecting. My son asked about the footlong special, and the employee mumbled something about how it didn't apply, swiped the credit card, gave the four subs to my son and walked away to the other customers in line.
I sent an email documenting this event to the contact portion of the subway site. Here was the reply:
I want to take a moment to thank you for contacting me and to extend my apologies for the less than ideal experience that you had in my restaurant.
I understand that my staff’s behavior during your visit did not meet your expectations. I know that we have let you down, and for that, my team at this Subway® restaurant is sorry. We are dedicated to handcrafting our meals in a welcoming environment.
I am always looking for ways to improve the restaurant experience for my customers, so I shared your feedback with my team to prevent this from happening in the future.
Thank you for choosing Subway® and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Yeah, in Cranberry there are a ton of sub stores that always provide better service (Like DiBella's and Firehouse subs) so I know I won't visit that location again and would suggest you avoid that location as well unless you want...
Read moreWe frequently come here and normally have a decent experience. Tonight was different. Went in and there are 4 people in line, but no one is ordering. The guy behind the counter is making a line sandwiches/salads for a door dash order. Its Friday night and he's by himself. I wait and he finishes it, takes the first guy in line, makes his sandwich. Promptly starts on another online order, ignoring the line and not even telling us what is going on. I get you need to have someone filling online orders. But these tend to be multiple sandwiches and take longer. The owner of this business needs to come up with a plan to balance online and in person ordering. I wasn't the only person to walk out. Owner needs to have more than one poor guy on a Friday. Left very upset and it will be a long time before we try again. I'm sure there are other restaurants that have more than one employee to service their customers, online and those that took the time to...
Read moreStopped in for a sandwich to go. The guy that was working was very efficient and my sandwich was perfect! I was happy to see they switched out the old plastic bags for paper ones! That's pretty awesome and a long time coming! It was a great experience and I will definitely be back.
One thing was really weird though & I attached a picture of the front door. On the right door the arrows point to the door on the left & on the left window the arrows point to the in the middle of all the arrows. This makes one think that the door on the left is the one to reach for. It's not! The door on the left with all the arrows pointing to it is locked! The door on the right is the open one.
Who did these decals? I need them to make this make sense to me because... Why? I mean it's not a reason to not go there but still I'm looking at 4 giant arrows pointing to open this door and that door is locked and it's actually the other door that's...
