First off, I want I say I've ordered from Boulevard many times in the past- I really like their pizza and have never had any issues. Until tonight. My friends and I ordered a pizza and some jalapeño poppers. When we picked up and brought them back to the house we realized that they had accidentally given us curly fries instead. No big deal, I called and they said we could come pick up the jalapeño poppers or they could send a delivery guy. Just what I'd expect.
Then the woman, who referred to herself as the manager, said we would need to return the curly fries. I, like everyone I think, has occasionally had this kind of mistake happen in the past and i have NEVER had someone insist on having the food returned to them first (why would they- they can't resell it!) We were super hungry when the food arrived and just started in on the fries (our friend was on her way and we wanted to wait on her for the pizza). The woman I spoke to insisted that this was a firm policy and the only options were to pay for the fries, or get a partial refund for the difference between the poppers and the fries- even though she acknowledged it was their mistake and that the fries, once returned, would just go in the trash. She also strangely implied that we were trying to scam them by not returning the fries (not sure how that logic makes sense when they were the ones who mixed up the order?) Typically when this has happened in the past businesses have either let me keep the mistaken order as a gesture of good will and are very apologetic and let me keep the mistaken order as a gesture of good will. That apparently is not Boulevard Pizza's policy. Also, I'm worried that even though the manger insisted that the fries would be going in the trash that they are going to try to resell them- otherwise why did it matter so much to them to get the fries back?
I want to emphasize that I usually love this place, and have never had an issue like this before, but mistakes happen everywhere regardless of good intentions. The mark of a good business is how they handle these mistakes when they occur. On this measure, boulevard pizza has failed. I'll be looking for my next slice elsewhere and recommend others...
Read moreUsed to order all the time, so I know how they make their food here.. placed an order well over an hour before they closed on 8/25. It took over 45 minutes to deliver what was ordered 10pcs sweet chili wings all flats & mozzarella sticks. They arrived around 11:30ish with my food, when opened the food I noticed I was given breaded chicken wings (not all flat) with sweet chili sauce on the side.. not how they make their food. Also, my mozzarella sticks did not come how I am used to getting them from here + no Mariana for my mozzarella sticks. I tried calling back immediately 3 times (no answer). I went in the next day explaining what happened, the guy working said he could not process me a refund without the owners approval, took my name and number and said I would be called tomorrow. After 4 days of hearing nothing, I call again and explain my situation once again. I was placed on hold and was told the owner will call me tomorrow, once again. It now, has been 6 days since that phone call and I have yet to hear anything. Had the food been good enough for me to eat I would have just took the L, but to spend on food I didn’t even touch & then continue to get the run around and be disregarded especially as a returning customer for years it’s very disappointing. Will b disputing with my bank since I got nowhere with u guys & won’t b...
Read moreI recently visited Boulevard Pizza and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food. The atmosphere needs some improvements and restoration, Id recommend delivery or pick up as the seating is meh. The menu board needs to be fixed as some or most will have trouble reading it. They do have paper menus provided if needed and you can always view it online. The food is way better than other pizza chains without a doubt especially considering prices. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we felt welcome from the moment we walked in.
The star of the show, of course, was the pizza, and my second choice would be the calzones. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside. The toppings were fresh and generously applied, with a great balance of flavors. I particularly enjoyed the chicken bacon ranch, plain cheese, and the meatlovers.
While the overall experience was fantastic, the only slight drawback was the wait time. It took a bit longer than expected for our pizzas to be prepared, but the quality of the food made it worth the wait. All in all, Boulevard Pizza is a must-visit for any pizza lover, earning a solid 4 out of 5. Service:5 Food:5 The only negatives I spotted with my arrival back in June were certain areas needing a good dusting/cleaning along with overall general...
