Still on the Hunt for the BEST Steak and Cheese in Rhode Island. This took me to Ted’s Stadium in Cranston RI #foodreview #cranston #rhodeisland #wheretoeat #foodie

Laid-back local bar with surprisingly solid burgers I’ve driven past this place a number of times and finally decided to stop in. It always had that locals-only vibe—a no-frills, neighborhood bar where you’ll likely see some familiar faces if you’re from the area. Turns out, my first impression was pretty accurate, but in a good way. Parking was easy and plentiful, which already puts this spot ahead of a lot of others. Inside, it’s got the classic local-bar feel—dim lighting, a few TVs, nothing flashy. The kind of place you settle into for a casual drink or a bite without needing to dress up or make a reservation. The staff was friendly and down-to-earth, which added to the relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the cheeseburger club, and here’s where I have to be honest: I’m not a fan of places that serve frozen fries. It’s a small detail, but it can make a big difference in the overall experience. There’s just something about fresh-cut fries that elevates a meal, and frozen ones feel like a missed opportunity. That said, the burger itself more than made up for it. Cooked to a proper medium with a nice pink center, it was juicy, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. The toppings were fresh, and the bun held everything together without falling apart. Definitely hit the spot. We also tried the Park Ave burger, and it was just as good. Another well-executed burger—nothing over-the-top, just quality meat, cooked well, and put together with care. It had great flavor and left us both satisfied. This isn’t a trendy gastropub or an upscale burger joint. It’s a straightforward bar with solid food, cold drinks, and a laid-back crowd. If they ever switch over to fresh fries, it’d take the food to the next level—but even with that small gripe, I’d still come back. It’s the kind of place you grow to appreciate for what it is: local, easygoing, and dependable.

Service was excellent. Went here due to the pub being featured on WPRI. I did have the seafood stuffie. Just as described delicious and fresh with seafood in every bite. I had a hamburger and you could tell it was freshly made. Very juicy and filling. I also met Ted himself, very pleasant gentleman who is proud of his business! I recommend this place for the freshness of the food and general relaxed atmosphere.

I can’t say enough great things about this scratch kitchen! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming… thanks in large part to Julie, the bartender, who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. She not only recommended some stellar menu options but even gave us a peek at the dishes as they were being served. That personal touch made it feel like we were part of the kitchen magic!

I had the stuffed chicken, and it was phenomenal! Perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with care by a chef! My boyfriend had a burger that he’s still raving about. FRESH, Juicy, flavorful, and far beyond your average bar food!

And that’s the thing, this place is so much more than just a bar. It’s a true local treasure that deserves to be known as a full-fledged restaurant. The quality of the food, the hospitality, and the attention to detail are all top-tier.

Best part?….. I live around the corner, so I’ll definitely be taking advantage of their takeout. If you’re nearby and haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out. This spot is...

I’ve lived in Cranston for a long time. I’ve seen numerous places go in and out of 1145 Park Ave. For almost 5 years I have seen firsthand all the hard work Ted and Julie have put into this business and building. It is so hard to overcome the reputation this building had but I really do believe they have done it. It is almost a completely full scratch Kitchen and a place I love to go to for dinner and drinks. They have done a ton of remodeling and have more planned to do so in the future to make it the perfect neighborhood restaurant. If you haven’t been you’re missing out on one of the best kept food secrets. Hats off to them from turning an almost 100 year old dive bar into a...
