Blue Cactus Tacos & Tequila Bar — Restaurant in Crawfordsville

I ordered supposed to be shredded beef tacos 🌮 I have no clue what kind of meat that was she said it was shredded Taco beef totally gross me out 🤮 I told her I did not like the food she did nothing about it, a total of three of us the bill was $110 plus a tip a couple drinks a piece but none of us like the food at all, we told her the food was pretty gross 🤢 I even asked her before I ordered was it good she said yes ,a lion sells pitch I will never go back to this place again and I will definitely put the word out, you all should be totally ashamed of yourself 😔 For lying to customers. That the food was good, I even asked people sitting at another table they said it was the first time they've been there also. Seems funny they was there just a short time and left, I looked over and their food was still on their plate 😞 this place needs to be closed down, I only rated it a one because I can't give you a zero. I will report this to the better Business bureau. And let people know how we was treated after we told the waitress the food was pretty nasty. At least she could have got a manager out there and made it right with us somehow. Maybe something different on the menu. No she didn't offer nothing at all. The shopping center location kind of put us off for a moment, but I am delighted that we decided not to judge a book by its cover. Walking through the doors, we were immediately taken in by the decor and the ambiance - like being transported to another place. We sat at the bar, not due to wait time, but because we were so fascinated by the tequila wall. We eventually became a little concerned that it wasn't busier because we would hate for Crawfordsville to lose such a treasure. We were assured that they usually are, but traffic was light because of an event in town. We ordered a side of guacamole to go with the chips and salsa and it was all amazing. Ditto the entrees. I usually order vegetarian, and there were several options, but I opted to cash in my "occasional seafood" allowance for the Seafood Relleno and OMG. My boyfriend ordered the birria tacos and had a similar reaction. I'm a cilantro lover and was fascinated by the idea of the Spicy Cilantro margarita - it was SO GOOD - not too spicy at all, but definitely something to sip. The tequila recommendation we requested from our server was spot on when my partner ordered one "neat." Wish we'd had room for dessert. My husband and I had Blue Cactus cater our wedding in June! The food was absolutely amazing. We had a fajita bar and received an enormous amount of food. Everything was delicious and our guests were so happy with the food. As much as we loved the food and had a phenomenal delivery experience, we did have issues with the service. We were connected with the catering specialist, Juana, to order and finalize the catering for our wedding. Contacting her was almost impossible. Despite our many emails and phone calls, it took us reaching out to the owners to finally hear back from her. Once we were in contact with her, it took the same amount of effort to finally hear back from her for every stage of ordering the food. It wasn't until a week and a half before our wedding that we had our order finalized, which took us driving an hour to show up in person unprompted when we were assured we could place and pay for the order online. We reached out with our initial inquiry about five months before our wedding, so we did not have a short notice order. Big thank you to the owner for helping with the situation and ensuring that we had food for our wedding. However, the process of ordering with Juana was stressful and difficult.
