Super China Buffet — Restaurant in Crawfordsville

I do wish people were kinder with their reviews as they CHOOSE to dine here. The pricing is literally your problem, not the restaurants. If you cannot afford to dine here, say so. I’ve loved this place since I first tried it and refuse to eat fried rice from any other place. The one in Lafayette may have more options but the staffs always rude and forcing you to give a 15% customary tip. You do not get a say on tipping there.

This place may be old, but the owners and staff are always working so hard to make their customers food and to stay in business in the current busy times. Please be kinder, if you don’t like it go somewhere else. The pricing isn’t that bad if you choose to dine instead of using the buffet. They’ve just recently started their buffet back up and their staff is limited.

For reference, I’ve dined-in, done take out and delivery for this place. It won’t allow me to pick more than one option.

It looks like the Super China Buffet has made some changes to some of the foods that I use to love. The Egg Foo Young tasted like fish sauce or old stale seafood. I know because I cook a like of Chinese food including Egg Foo Young where I tried using fish sauce and didn't like it. I ended up throwing the bottle in the garbage.

Those wantons in the broth has a disgusting taste as well. They tasted fishy as if fish sauce was added or made from old stale seafood. Your wantons use to be really good as well. If it isn't broken than don't fix it.

However, most of your food is delicious especially the General Tso chicken and the Ginger Chicken. Though the Super China Buffet made some bad food decisions, I will still come in and enjoy. I'll just have to avoid its Egg Foo Young and Wantons in broth...

Decent food as long as it's busy. Have found food cold and looking old. But if ask someome for fresh they will do so.

So it's been nearly 2 years since my last visit due to the pandemic. For the longest time this establishment was closed and then opened only for pickup. Now that the mandates are lifting they still haven't reopened the buffet. I'm beginning to feel that they won't. You can still order off the menu and dine in, but no refills. So today I ordered lunch sweet and sour chicken. With egg rolls for an appetizer. Lunch special does come with 2 egg rolls already but they are small. You also get a bed of fried rice. Decent meal for around $9 Hopefully they'll reopen the buffet if not...
