I live in Del Norte and come to this fast food place often (well, often for fast food that is) the reason why is the managers keep a upbeat and intelligent and friendly staff on board most of the time, when people are slipping up they get replaced a-la the hiring sign often on the window. despite that fact ive never seen this burgerking ever microwave anything, it may take a few more minutes that you'd expect but this BurgerKing delivers it well, nice and fresh, not old soggy stuff or greasepit nasty, or old stale, which the other fast food places in town are all hit or miss, Burger King Del Norte has never failed me other than maybe a slight mixup on an order (and if you inform them they will politely fix it by the way without having a major attitude or spitting on your food lol) most of the staff seem like good people and are friendly. Experiences in this restaurant may vary based on customers/other patrons and sometimes new employees (i swear one needed to be on disability, she messed everything up, she was let go not long after that i noticed..)
bottom line this burger king is really serious about being a burger king. it's shockingly good for a BurgerKing I've never worked in fast food but if i had to i'd work here too. or try to keep up. they have a good hard working staff :)
I think all the negative experience were most of the negative experience,(because people like to complain online more than praise) associated with whatever reason with the restaurant. like i said i've had a few slip ups here but most of the time i'm very satisfied with my order, unlike burgerking in metropolitans where its soggy, these are nice and warm crisp burgers.
just bear in mind: they are always fresh and therefor somewhat slow, do NOT expect it to be as fast as mcdonalds. just trust a local, out of all the fast food joints this ones the best, jack in the box is a hit or miss, and the mom and pop restaurants are always good, but if youre traveling through town and just want to grab something easy and well known,...
Read moreWe got parked just after 8am, went inside, and stated our selections as meal numbers. My son, who regularly needs picture menus and has evident communication barriers, went first. The cashier treated him with the same kind, friendly consideration he showed all of us. He had a quick and easy time expressing his order using the overhead menu, which pictured only meals that had breakfast sandwiches. After the rest of us had ordered, we waited for the food and our number was called.
When we went to hand food out to everyone, we found chicken sandwiches, which were very different from what we'd ordered, as well as french fries instead of hash browns. That's when we looked at the receipt and it dawned on us we had been given meals from the lunch/dinner menu. After talking with the cashier who had rung us up, who was very polite and quick to correct the mistake, we got our delicious, fresh, hot meals directly. Overall it was a pleasant experience even with the mix up.
Staff = friendly
Parking = easy access to both directions of HWY 101, as long as you know to be in the far left lane to get in. The parking lot is short of odd shaped. Only a handful of spots are directly beside the building, all other spots require walking across the tiny parking lot.
Cleanliness = Very good
Food = Hot, fresh, tasty
Price = Average to maybe a little lower than average for fast food
Drive Thru = (from other recent experiences) speaker works clearly, wait tends to be average to short as long as you're not part of a meal rush-hour (less than 15...
Read moreLike most of these reviews (of the BK, there seem to be a lot of reviews of the area itself here as well), much too long sitting in the drive-thru line, to the point where we called the store after sitting in line behind the same vehicle at the menu for fifteen minutes. The manager spoke to the drive-thru person and told them to park the vehicle at the window. Sat there for another five minutes or so watching the same vehicle continue to sit at the menu with no vehicles in front of it. Gave up, went down the street and came back to find the line cleared. Straight to the menu where we sat for five minutes before being wated on. Got around the corner to find a vehicle at the window, which sat there for another ten minutes before moving. Got to the window and gave the person my card, they applied it to my order, then thought it was the wrong order and refunded it, then charged me for someone else's order, refunded that, then handed me my card back. Wanted another several minutes, they brought the food to the window and asked for my card again. At this point I had zero confidence that they would handle my card properly, and little confidence that they had filled out order correctly, so we went...
