"TAKING PIZZA TO THE NEXT LEVEL". Our family stopped here today for our first ever visit to Dewey's Pizza. And, how many things do we all love about this place? Of course, it all starts with the pizza, which is fantastic. They really live up to their tagline. We had a Dom Corleone and my wife had a gluten-free Mediterranean. Both were delicious. The staff was amazing, friendly and attentive. Our waters were constantly filled and someone was always available for extra requests. The place was packed when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday night. We made a reservation using the app Nowait which got us to the front of the line when we walked in. The restaurant was clean and smelled good. Floors were shiny and the windows were clean. There were a bunch of kids totally entertained by the guy in the window spinning the pizza dough and it reminded me of the old days when I was that age and such sights were more common but no less entertaining. I am often pleased with a restaurant but then disappointed with the cleanliness of the restroom especially on a busy night. In this case, the manager Drew was on top of everything! The restroom was a pleasant experience for a welcome change. On top of it all, they put a premium on promptness (often lacking at pizza places). But at Dewey's, they target a maximum of 15 minutes. Our pizzas were closer to 20 minutes. We hadn't even noticed as we were engaged in conversation but we received a substantial discount which I was not expecting nor did we deserve. Wish I could give more stars!!!!! I was in there around 4pm on 3/16/23 with my 3 children. We are always looking for a new place to try. When I Googled pizza, Dewey's popped up, and I thought, why not. I didn't know what to expect. We ordered the green lantern and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The prices were a bit higher than I was expecting, but not at the point that I would walk out. I'm the type, when I walk into a restaurant, I'm pretty much committed. Especially if I've never been there before. We ordered and waited for our food. When they brought it the food, the waitress explained that they were sorry for the long wait time, and that the manager REMOVED the pizzas from the bill! I was NOT expecting that. I seriously was almost in tears at the table and had to compose myself before my children saw me. Money has been tight, but I try to take my gang to nice places that are sometimes out of my price range, but do it anyway. This AWESOME gesture was not expected in any way and I was so grateful! We just ate here this evening and it was the best service that we've had in a long time! The servers all work together to give you a great experience! They were super busy but everyone works so well together they get you in and out quickly. We were greeted immediately upon entering and were told it would be a 5 minute wait. The wait was quick and then the server came and got us drinks and took our orders. As we drank our drinks, other servers would refill them as they were walking by so we always had something to drink. Our food came out correct and the pizza was hot and tasted fresh. My husband got a calzone which he loved and I got the pizza with non dairy cheese and it was really good. So happy that they have vegan options! We both loved their pizza dough and their red sauce but just fyi, the sauce is spicy but it's delicious. We also shared the seasonal strawberry poppyseed salad (minus the blue cheese) and it was so good! It is very cold in there with the AC so I recommend bringing a hoodie if you tend to get cold.
