El Pollon Crestview Florida — Restaurant in Crestview

Went there last week and just remembered I have to write a review. I'm gonna tell you right now, It's the best food in Crestview. And this town has been needing good food BAD! I just moved here and man, the selections otherwise suck. THIS PLACE though? To the owners, thank you for bringing this here. I've come to know foods from all over the world, but Peruvian food has always been my favorite. IT'S NOT MEXICAN FOOD. It's something else that's 10 times better. If you like mexican food, try this. You don't know what you're missing. Peruvian gastronomy is usually regarded as some of the best, and in many people's opinions, it IS the best in the world. I had the half chicken with fried rice and fries. The sauces that accompany them are to die for. If you drink soda, get the Inca Cola, you'll love it. I've been having peruvian food for years and after looking at their entire menu, you know what the best part is? I promise you, you can pick anything off the menu and it's gonna be top-tier delicious. If you become a regular, don't get the usual. this is a safe space to get out of your comfort zone to try allll the foods they have. IT'S ALL GOOD. I genuinely try to give people the benefit of the doubt in certain areas.

For example: if the food is good, I let alot of things slide.

I know you can't please everyone, but shouldn't you try to please SOMEONE?

Dirty floor in the prep and cooking area should've been a dead give away of what me and my wife were about to eat.

Which was absolutely flavorless food.

Just get a rotisserie chicken from Walmart across the street, seriously.

They were out of ice.

The trash can was overflowing.

The server was showing her muscles and playing around on the open kitchen area and being loud.

I ordered the 1/4 chicken dinner $11.99, with 2 sides, yuca and plantains. Everything had good flavor, but cooked ahead time, chicken had good smoke flavor, but looked and tasted like it was cooked the day before, same as plantains which wasn't fresh and hot, but lukewarm. Chicken and plantains had good flavor , but tasted like leftover BBQ. Not a fan of restaurants warming old food, I know the meat has to be smoke , but I don't like being sold leftovers.
