Please read my 2 year experience from Crestview Aspen Dental (Updated info. below) The front desk is rude, they ALWAYS have an attitude in their voice, they are ALWAYS acting like they are too busy to do anything (even greet customers). Furthermore, the front desk ladies like to gossip about other people loud enough for everyone to hear, they do not not email me when they say they will (then if they do email me, it's the wrong information). When I went there once for a deep cleaning, (one of the last times I was seen at this horrible office) a Hispanic older woman was the hygienist. She was absolutely horrible. For example, when she was flossing my teeth, she said "omg, wow, do you ever floss, omg."... She kept saying things like that over and over again for 45 minutes. Needless to say I was hurt, embarrassed and upset at the end. I called up there to tell them my complaint, but all I was told, is that they would handle the situation, but no one gave me an apology? The dentist himself should have called me back and sincerely apologized, but apparently my business is not valued at the Crestview Aspen Dental. That type of horrible treatment after spending thousands of dollars here is unacceptable. Furthermore, I believe some of the dental assistants are students practicing because they could not for the love of their life get the right picture until a more experienced dental assistant came to help her (took Xrays of my mouth 8-10 times, I'm seriously afraid I might get cancer now), lastly the dentist here is way too fast and is not thorough because he wants to rush in and rush out. Also, when I've been in extreme pain, even being my dentist for 2 years, would not prescribe me antibiotics or pain medicine over the phone. (yes I know there are people who enjoy taking narcotics however I am not one of them, I just needed to relieve the pain with something else other than Tylonal and ibuprofen which I was overdosing on and was afraid my kidneys would fail). I am so through with Crestview Aspen dental. I've been a patient of the Crestview Aspen Dental for 2 years and have waited patiently for things to better, but they NEVER have. I stayed because the dentist here did an OK job with his work. I started there unhappy 2 years ago and I am leaving there unhappy. Good riddance Aspen Dental and good luck to any other victim here. Update 1/11/2018 I have received a letter from the corporate Aspen Dental from a patient satisfaction specialist. I appreciate the apology (one I NEVER received from the office that is unprofessional, insensitive, and HORRIBLE Crestview FL Aspen Dental) Mrs. , in your letter you said "the regional manager has been unable to reach you by phone. . . " However, NO ONE ever called me from the Aspen Dental in Crestview, as I check both my phones EVERY DAY and call back any unrecognizable number, therefore, if this is the information the liars at the front desk of Crestview Aspen Dental told you, it was a dirty lie to cover up their pitiful behavior toward their patients (they were probably counting on the fact that you would not inform me of their lie!). Moving forward, it puts me a bit at ease to know that I am at least recognized and given an apology to; even if it is from a far off representative. However, this does not fix Crestview Aspen Dental. I believe what needs to be done is the regional lying manager getting replaced by someone who doesn't hire women and men with such unprofessionalism and harshness towards their patients. I know Aspen Dental cannot hire the best of the best but at least hire people who care and want to be sincere to their patients!! Because as of right now, the people being hired there are unskilled at what they do and RUDE! (except the dentist man, but he is too fast) One needs customer service skills and human...
Read moreThe reviewer who said this "dentist office" is more like a car dealership is right. When I made an appointment for the initial consultation, I was told that the initial consultation would be free. She explained that the consultation was to work out a dental plan with the dentist and get x-rays. My previous dentists (one which I used all throughout childhood, and one which I used for the previous four years) did this as well as the initial cleaning in one appointment, so I was a little confused as to why I needed a special appointment for this. I specifically asked if I would be able to receive a basic cleaning if that was all that I wanted, and was told that I would. At the consultation, they said it would be $40, which isn't what I was told when I made the appointment... I informed them of what I was told over the phone, and they did give me the intitial visit for free, but I'm confused as to why they tried to make me pay something after they told me it would be free? While getting my x-rays, the technician talked to me about the process at Aspen Dental, how the doctors would look at x-rays, and we could discuss my treatment plan. I was a little wary of this talk of a "treatment plan" because I've never ran into this at any other dentist. especially when I have been clear that I only want a regular cleaning. At this point, -again- I specifically asked about getting a regular cleaning, and I specifically asked the technician if I would be able to decline extra services and get a regular teeth cleaning. She said I would still be able to get a regular cleaning. The rest of the visit is nice and normal. The hygienist and dentist were both pleasant. At the end, I sat down with someone else to make my appointment and discuss pricing. This is where I ran into the issue. I basically received a classic sales pitch, "Here is a description of the product, -so how would you like to pay for this today-, here is a description of our payment options." I explained I wasn't interested in the product they were trying to sell me, that I already knew what product I was interested in. I was told that no matter what, I couldn't get a regular cleaning and that I had to follow their recommended plan. Well, this is 100% different than what I was told up to this point. I was told several times, by several people, that I could decline the recommended services and still receive a regular cleaning. I made an appointment with this dentist office, that is an hour away, based on this knowledge alone and because they accept my insurance. So come to find out, I wasted four hours of my day (two hours driving and two hours sitting in an office) for no reason. If I had known this, I could have saved my time, as well as theirs, and went to a dentist that was closer and just paid out of pocket for a basic cleaning. This is ridiculous, and it is clear based on my interaction with multiple people that Aspen Dental does not have clear or standard policies. Also, what kind of health provider refuses to care for patients simply because they do not want a more expensive procedure? Dentists recommend that everyone get their teeth cleaned every six month, so what kind of dentist refuses to clean a patient's teeth?...
Read moreOn March 15th I experienced a visit to the dentist like no other time in my life. Since it was my very first time to Aspen Dental, I expected a friendly greeting and a welcome, but it didn't happen!
As I went to the back to begin the initial x-ray process, the equipment used was just horrible, and the representative using it had a terrible time getting the equipment lined up properly, therefor the photos were not taken correctly. She had to inquire of additional help in order to get things done correctly. I even had to return to the x-ray room to re-take some shots because the others were not clear to read.
From there, another assistant proceeded to look at my teeth and gums. She told me that I would need to get some special cleaning done on my teeth, and also recommended a type of motorized tooth-brush to get my teeth cleaned on a daily basis. I expected to have my teeth cleaned, and it wasn't done.
Next, the dentist came in an did his examination and recommendations, and advised me of what he thought needed to be done. He was very thorough and knowledgeable in regards to his position.
Following that, a representative took me into an office type room and proceeded to provide me with the estimate or costs as to what needed to be accomplished for my needs. She told me that there wasn't going to be an initial cost to my first visit, as it was covered by my insurance. I mentioned to her that I didn't get my teeth cleaned and that is supposed to be covered by my insurance as well. She then told me that my teeth needed this "special" type of cleaning that wasn't covered by my insurance, thus I or my insurance was now going to be charged for an initial cleaning. Over fifty years of dental service, I always had a cleaning done without charge for the first and the sixth month check-up. Secondly, I was now being charge for a cleaning tooth-brush that I never even ordered or wanted for that matter. (Oral-B) If I truly wanted this equipment, then I would have probably checked on one myself, and probably at a much lesser cost that was included in the estimate.
So, my teeth was not cleaned, and I was being billed for something that I didn't want....kind of like a bait and switch if you ask me!
I will probably get my teeth done when I visit the Far East in a couple of months, and I can assure you....it will be done at a far less price quoted me on this date.
I will not, and cannot recommend Aspen Dental to any of my family, friends, and...
