I have actually visited this place a couple of times. We decided to go there for lunch & were pleasantly greeted by the Mgr. who sat us, we were then waited on by a gentleman named Ross who was very pleasant, friendly & alert with a excellent attitude👍. The interior seemed a lil' cramped as it was lunchtime & the restaurant was about 3/4 full & the Mgr. was setting up the tables outside on the patio.. I was going to order the Lobster & Seafood Salad, but it did not come in a lunch size portion like their Lunch Menu Salads according to our waiter Ross, so I decided to order a bowl of Clam Chowder Soup which was basically average, very thick, & it was served warm & not hot. It was basically like eating Potato Soup with a few clams in it, it did not have a clam or seafood flavor to it at all??( maybe more Seafood Base??). I then decided to try the Shrimp & Grits which surprisingly were very flavorful👍. The combination of the seafood, sausage, bacon, & tomatoes really gave it a verygood flavor. The Andouile Sausage had a verygood bite to it. I only had 3 Shrimp in my bowl, but overall I would order it again. If there was 1 thing that I was missing in it, it would be a lil' cheese. The Shrimp & Grits came with a Sweet Cornbread Muffin which I tasted & didn't really care for, but it was not because it was not good, because it was very flavorful & had just the right amount of sweetness to it, but I am not a fan of corn & this had nuggets of corn in it, it also was on the doughy side. My mother ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder Soup & the Battered Fried Cod(which she loved👍🤤) with Fries & her friend ordered Battered Fried Onion Rings which I tried & they were very tasty & for thick cut onion rings had a very light & flavorful batter, not heavy like most thick cut Onion Rings, she also ordered Fried Okra. Overall our service from Ross was great, the atmosphere was nice although a lil' noisy(U couldn't here the live entertainment good, because of the customers talking in a small area). GulfShores has that Nawlins' feel & flavor of food. I plan to visit on a Sun. & try the Sunday Brunch👍🙂. I would like to see them either branch out as a chain or enlarge or move to a bigger location, the business & $$$ are there for...
Read moreI went in last Night and I can’t believe the manner in which the owner talked to me. She was uninviting and never welcomed us at all. She began by walking with me over to the table stating we have to keep it down because other guests maybe seated in this area also. I was in Shock by her entire conversation. She said we tell every guest that. What did she assume we would be doing running around screaming like animals. We had ten people at the restaurant at 6pm. Our party was told we couldn’t be seated because all 12 had to be there because she wasn’t going to have the server doing multiple trips. We even said we could wait to everyone arrived to order anything but still said no. When guests arrived she escorted everyone to the door and stood over us like she was security. When we were walking out to leave she said we could stay, like it was a privilege. She literally continued to give us a time frame on when she was going to kick us out and lose our table. She never asked what we were celebrating or welcomed us for coming. Then after we had everything packed up she makes like you guys can eat hear. Saying they close at 9pm so I will send the server over so you can order immediately. There were no menus on the table but you want to rush us to order. The place was empty I don’t understand why we were treated so poorly. I asked to use a two top table for the gifts and owner replied no we may get busy and need that table. Only one table came in after we allowed to be seated. The owner never came over to see how everything was and make sure our experience was wonderful. The Server Megan was AMAZING so that is the only thing that saved our experience. The other owner Harry is very delightful and welcoming. I can’t ever return to this place after the treatment from the other owner. I have never felt so unwelcomed in my life. 1 star...
Read moreMy recent visit to Gulf Shores of Creve Coeur in, on Father's Day was an absolute disappointment. As a vegan, I was hopeful that the restaurant would offer suitable options for me to enjoy a meal with my family. However, Gulf Shores of Creve Coeur not only failed to provide any vegan options on their menu but also demonstrated a shocking lack of respect and professionalism.
To ensure I had something to eat while dining with my family, I brought my own vegan food to the restaurant. Much to my disbelief, the staff reacted in a disrespectful and combative manner. They forced me to throw away my food or demanded I leave. Their behavior not only ruined our Father’s Day celebration but it left me feeling sad and embarrassed.
If you are looking for a restaurant that values its customers, respects their dietary choices, and prioritizes professional and courteous service, I strongly advise against visiting Gulf Shores of Creve Coeur. There are numerous other great restaurants in the area that can provide a welcoming atmosphere and a dining experience that doesn't leave you feeling disrespected and humiliated.
I was in complete shock. When I spoke with the owner, instead of hearing my perspective, she doubled down on cutting me off so I could not speak, it’s felt oddly personal and combative. My intentions were pure yet she was unaccommodating and hostile. I’ve never anything like this. All I wanted to do was bring a meal so I could enjoy Father’s Day after calling ahead to learn there was nothing available for me to eat. Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting no one should be treated that way simply for making a mistake. I didn’t know the policy, but there was no grace given to me just...
