Came into for a healthy lunch and refreshing drink on a Wednesday afternoon.
I ordered Tuna Supreme, one of their signature poke bowl. It has tuna three ways; spicy, marinated, and ahi. I got soba noodles (warmed) as my starch. It is a gamechanger to warm the noodles as it offers temperature contrast to the dish, highly recommended! The dish comes with edemame, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, jalapeños, and crispy onions. Completely devoured this dish and felt very full afterwards. Overall fantastic dish if you like raw fish.
Also ordered coconut milk boba tea. There was an extra sugar option that I declined. I was told it would be ten minutes to cook the boba, which was not an issue. I got my drink well within the ten minute timeline. It was a fantastic compliment to my poke bowl and helped cut through the richness of the dish.
Overall great food, service, and atmosphere. Nice clean restaurant.
Side note to the owner: Advertising your salmon is from Norway tells me it's farm raised and respectfully will not eat it. I would rather pay more for wild caught Alaskan sockeye Salmon. My two cents for...
Read moreOrdered to-go for pick up on the website since I was working. Food was ready by the time I got there (6mins).
You’re greeted the moment you come in by the person at the counter where you also place your order, so it’s definitely a casual dining. Place was clean when I arrived.
The poke portions were way more than I was expecting for the cost. This place was so worth the try for a quick lunch!
Ingredients tasted fresh, cucumbers were crisp, the mangos were so sweet and soft. You get a decent portion of the fish. They do go heavy on the raw red onions though, so be advised. I had to pick some of them out for a better balance, but if you like onions this is your place.
Everything was topped with a yummy seaweed salad. The person who packaged up my order also included utensils, napkins, wasabi, soy sauce, and a straw for my canned soda without me having to ask, so that was super nice of them. Made eating lunch on the go super easy.
I wish I lived closer to come again and try all the different signature bowls! They also have a variety of milk tea and boba drinks, so I’ll for sure be back to...
Read moreThis was my absolute favorite restaurant in STL. "WAS." They raised their prices within a coyole months of opening as a bait and switch that I found offensive. I ate here probably 15 times before that, and touted them to EVERYONE. I stopped coming due to the price hike, and returned today. I find they only have iceburg lettuce with a couple of small leafs of spinach that were hard to find. Basically iceburg. They started off with mixed baby greens w zero iceburg. Their seafood mix is also gone, and I gave up and told them I don't want anything and won't be back. I'm severely disappointed to lose my favorite restaurant as fast as I found it. The soul of this restaurant is not what I thought it was. I could care less if they go under because at this point they are serving lower quality than numerous other places. Its used to be the best, darn near a Michelin star poke place. Now just ripoff junk. Its so sad. Good food is kinda hard to come by. I advice avoiding this place if you are at all expecting healthfood. Its going to be laden with high fructose...
