Today, (6/18/19) was my first time at St. Louis Gyros at the Olive location. 1st all when I came their were 2 guys behind the counter, which never greeted me with a welcome or a hello. The guy with blond/red hair, " said what can I do for you", but never said hi. The tall guy with long black hair asked me if I wanted white or wheat bread. I said I wanted chicken gyro on white bread. The guy with the long black hair proceeded to cut my chicken off the plank but their was 3 pieces of chicken off the plank that he added. He tossed the chicken and the 3 pieces on the grill. I told him I didn't want those 3 pieces because I didn't know how long they were off the plank. In the midst of saying I didn't want the 3 pieces he mixed all the chicken together. I mentioned it to him again and finally took the pieces off the grill. The guy with the blond/red hair came from the back and said what's going on. I explained to him I didn't want the 3 pieces of chicken that was laying around. He specifically, told me that eventually the chicken will have to be used. I told him I didn't want the 3 pieces. He told the guy not to finish cooking my order, that we are not serving her. As a customer I had the right how I wanted my food to be cooked and if I didn't want the 3 pieces of chicken laying around, I shouldn't have gotten it. WOW, RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE and IGNORANCE!!!
I will be contacting the BBB and Corporate in this matter.
I SEE WHY PEOPLE GO GROCERY SHOPPING TO STAY AWAY FROM FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS DUE TO POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and...
Read moreAround 1 whole minute after ordering our gyros we asked for simosas (our food was not yet cooked, no salad was on the pita, we had not yet paid). The employee at Olive location with long dreads looked up at me furious and said “it’s going to be a wait... if you don’t mind waiting...” So I asked how long the wait would be (planning on waiting). His response was so rude, I was shocked!!!!!!! “I mean you already had the opportunity to order, I got other work to do” Hmm, that didn’t answer my question about the wait! He denied us the food. I lost my appetite and wish we had left then and there instead of paying ridiculous price for meh gyros. We are... WERE regular customers since we live so close but I will never go here again, I would rather drive for some decent customer service than be verbally attacked by an unclean man making my food. Never. Again.
Also, my boyfriend got the combo but had to pay an extra 1c for a drink...? The menu says 2.50$ to make it a combo with fries and drink. It doesn’t say 1c extra for the fun of making the experience worse. I hate this place.
If i didn’t have to go to work every day I would stand outside and warn other customers. But I like my job (and am capable of providing...
Read moreDid not receive good service when I came into the restaurant for my first visit. I am unsure about returning to at least try the food after speaking to the Owner Sami he said he will address their customer service to prevent this from happening again. Regardless of the systems error and glitch with the ordering process we both agree that I should not have had to walk away annoyed, frustrated and especially hungry . I do not recommend that anyone use the google online ordering because they do not have any access to see anything they only get a printout if successfully transferred to their point of sale in their restaurant. toast is seamless on their website and they can verify all orders that way and over the phone sales. In person is the best way to get to enjoy their food and make a successful purchase. Buyer be aware they are working on the customer service aspect even though they have been in business 11 years it's because of their food not anything else from my understanding. I may one day place a cash order to experience the broasted chicken and a lamb gyro 2 of my...
